@@DozIT In order to be serious for a moment, I was deputy editor of the largest distrubuted international real estate magazine in Russia and later worked in real estate finance. So I think I am sort of qualified to voice an opinion. I think that this could be the second largest deal of his life - although I am basing this on comments by Felix Sater about what was planned. A multi page letter of intent sounds as though the plan was well developed.

It might not be that expansive (yet) but a skyscraper in Moscow is nothing to sniff at. It would immediately rival, if not easily surpass, the NYC Trump Tower as a recognizable brand symbol around the world. Which is pretty much the entire purpose for building it.

It’s very difficult to do anything about it in our system. This is obviously bad (see Trump) but also good. If it was much less difficult then the republican congress would have kicked out Obama way back in 2010. If the American people as a whole better understood civics and the importance of society then we would have turned over both the house and senate last month in order to reduce further damage, regardless of ideology. Our schools, though, don’t teach these things, perhaps somewhat intentionally.

A little Socratorial wisdom for you: The truly wise do not think they that are, while those who claim to know all there is to know, in fact, know very little. So whenever Trump boasts about how smart, how much of a genius he his, he's trying to convince everyone and to assure himself, that it's true. All Trump wants is attention and praise even when he doesn't deserve it. Why? Because he's afraid of the truth. He is so insecure that he attaches his worth to superficial things like money, or power, or just "being better than everyone else". His business and political career has been about that too. If something doesn't enrich him, financially or otherwise, he's not interested. If someone sings his praises and gives him money, they're his best friends. But the instant someone steps out of line, they're dead to him. He lives by absolutes, it's his way or the highway. The truth is no different. The truth makes him look bad, so he lives in fantasy and tries to convince others that it's true. It's sad really. Trump will never know true happiness because he can't see past the surface on anything. It's all about appearances to him. Nothing deeper than that shallow existence. I don't just despise Trump, I pity him as well. He has no love in his heart for anyone but himself, and such love is finite.

Since Trump became president, I have made it a point to learn Spanish. I believe in turning a bad thing into something positive. I study 1-2 hours everyday since Nov. 2016 because someday I will be able to talk with our neighbors and hopefully help integrate them into our country. I do not believe in a Wall but I do believe in what Jesus has taught me. I will also focus on supporting the World in fighting Climate Change, something positive to save our Earth instead of destroying it.

You see it too! Putin has all but promised the inevitability of a nuclear holocaust and China is pre-looting existing technologies in hopes that they can rebuild during the fallout. There are enough Asians so that if any race survives, it will be them. But as long as we "Lock her up", "build the wall", and not listen to "fake news", then it will not have all been in vain.

The Great Wall had some impact on Mongol invasions. It shouldn't even 'keep Mongols out' but rather block their retreat, after they had scaled the wall and invaded some hapless settlement and tried to get back with the loot. It eventually lost it's meaning, due to internal power struggle (some peasant made himself Emperor for a short time), failing to maintain the wall and pay the stationed soldiers, until the Dragon Head fortress guard simply opened the gates, because they rather would be serve to a Mongol warlord than to a chinese peasant. That's my very limited and probably incorrect understanding of this.
