To prevent gerrymandering, electoral boundaries in Canada, Australia, and the UK are set by non-partisan officials, not by the government of the day.

In Australia, the electoral boundaries are gerrymandered for the conservative party just like other places. As an example, the boundaries for Dutton's electorate have been recently changed to make it more likely that he will get in next election as his vote was borderline in the last election.

As a fellow Wisconsinite, and long time but now EX-Republican, it is OBVIOUS that the republicans are lying, cheating, criminals. Republicans know their message of hate and greed cannot win the majority of intelligent voters, so they have to cheat to stay in power.

The only way for the USA to go back to a real democracy is to get rid of the districts/gerrymandering and also get rid of the bipartisan system. A poly-party system with multiple parties for both conservatives and liberals is much better. The 2016 presidential election clearly proved that two parties is way too few to chose from .

That kind of gerrymandering is illegal in Australia
