Trump's VP pick & Georgia's anti-Russian revolt - The Week in 60 Minutes | SpectatorTV

The Trump-Biden rematch has been decided, and they’ve agreed to debate each other later this year. But who will Trump choose to cheer him on as his candidate for Vice President? Deputy editor Freddy Gray looks at the options with this week’s host, John Connolly.
Also on the show, Tina Bokuchava, Georgian opposition leader, and Natalie Sabanadze, former head of the Georgian mission to the EU, discuss whether Georgia is on the brink of revolution; columnist Toby Young and Baroness Fox share their frustrations with pointless legislation; and journalists Mary Harrington and Mary Wakefield explore why asexuality is on the rise among young people, especially young women.

As an unapologetic conservative (as now distinct from a Tory voter) I find myself absolutely behind EVERY point made by Claire Fox. Even Toby Young occasionally moved off his habitual “fence”, pulled along by the force and sensibility of her positions. Unlike Toby’s Dad, Claire (along with James Arbuthnot) provides a rare but significant argument FOR Life Peers, and the possible maintenance of the Lords as a viable form of second chamber.

I think the topic of asexuality would have been improved if there had been some research done into it. What percentage of women and men are asexual? What is the stability of these identities? How many people once identified as asexuals are no longer? How does that number compare with heterosexuality, homosexuality and bisexuality? What are their cultural references? If for example they enjoy films like Moulin Rouge, how does that make sense to them given they are asexual? It would be good if an asexual person were actually interviewed, it seemed like there was a lot of guesswork about what is going on here. That all said, interesting topic, glad you covered it.

Its just another part of identity bollocks isn't it, which is why it is not based on fact.... Many people will feel at points in their lives that they don't want to have a sexual relationship. Sometimes through depression, sometimes after having a crappy relationship and so on. It certainly isn't the end of the world if people figure out that the idea of living on their own is preferable for them, it can even be very liberating. No compromising necessary 🙂

Strange how Feminists think that the problem with the decline in child birth is porn and not that a male can agree to a tumble and find himself indebted for a child he did not agree to have for the next 18 years or more. If they do get married, she can walk out on the marriage after relatively few years. She can take half or more of everything the male has, hand an ongoing bill to the father while denying access with the full weight of the state assisting her. This even if they had a conversation about children and she decided to get pregnant instantly rather than the agreed up upon career position to pay for the child. I am very loving but I wouldn't go near the average UK woman.
