Two things before I begin watching; First, make sure you use the "write in" section of your ballot and put Dan Schaller as candidate for POTUS this year (2020). Second, everyone should watch the "A Time For Choosing" speech by Ronald Reagan. - He was more than an actor, governor, or president. He was also logical and was able to see what was on the horizon. He warned, but still nobody did anything to get back on the correct path.

A few months later, the US has abandoned the region to China. With Trump rather going to Ireland rather than Asian summits in November 2018, says a lot about big-mouth Americans, ain't it? The outlook for the region looks grim

We happy to hear this. Please compete with China.By doing so The US will be prosper Asian people have a lot of money they willing to pay for American products ,We believe American products are better quality than China. Most of Asian countries don't like communist China .We prefer The US. but this last 10 years the Democrats let China grow so fast in Asia and South China Sea. Come back to Asia we'll be your allies to fight the influence of China .No better time than this. Renew a new trade deal With The US lead. Asian countries are ready to send in all products ,cheap or not ,to replace China.Win- win to both side and American people would have lower cost of living. MAGA.

Did US help Africa and its southern neighbours? How did they fare? How come the Americans not help them?Is it because there is no strategic interest in investing there? And for the Middle East, If US do not create problems down there, sowing discord among the rivalries between Shite and Sunnis or condoning the actions of Israel , that would be a blessing enough for Middle East from America. Without Asian diligence, could they become good in what they do in terms their economy and prosperity ? US helps by not creating problem in East Asia in 1980’s and 1990’s, but the most important factor in Asia is its hardworking people and good development strategy.

We literally rebuilt China by permitting an outrageous trade disparity. Everything China has now was paid and gifted to act as its foundation by US goodwill. The reality of things is that The Chinese State is not the super power of the world and by getting ahead of itself from gifted prosperity it is ignoring the military and economic realities of receiving/taking wealth vs creating wealth. China is weak because its government is dependent. It’s military is weak because the United States is just that much stronger. It has ideas of Super Power status but it lacks the proper infrastructure to stand on its own. Bark all you want. The US is strong and unafraid. Free trade. Open seas. Fair trade. Nothing is wrong with those ideals and a government that refuses to abide by it is weak in basic principles.

@Why don't u rebuilt Africa or Middle East? Rebuilt China? They only use the American or western capitalist system to conduct economic policies. Hongkong and Singapore investors are the largest investors in China. Go and check out the investment of US in China? Without the Chinese diligence and effective policy , they wouldn't have achieved what they have now. Capitalism is only a tool. Ya, thanks America for making China as a t'ool' to deal with former Soviet Union . Therefore, China have the capacity to build their nation, bit by bit.US contribution to the world is insignificant if future historians look at world history.

漢子 idk, you don’t need US investment when you’re enjoying a half trillion dollar trade surplus with them. I don’t doubt China’s destiny as a world leader I just find it in bad taste to act as though generosity is a two way street. It is annoying to the average American to read about the deficit, theft of intellectual property and military secrets and hacking both politically and military motivated. Do you hear about America stealing Chinese technology? Its not wrong for the predominant military force in the world who’s presence around the world has stabilized World free trade networks and developed every tool utilized by every other nation in gps and modern logistics. I don’t think it’s beyond our leaders of this hegemony to seek a more fair and balanced trade agreements with nations that were a third world country prior to participating. How about the gdp of the people’s republic prior to participating in the global US financial Hegemony? That’s American kindness in my eyes. Has America ever forced Chinese companies to hand over tech secrets in order to conduct business. China isn’t emerging anymore it is emerged. But it’s not America yet and it’s not going to get to bully an America that’s actually paying attention to it. Which is the greatest acknowledgment of Chinese people and their worth. As it grows bigger it’s going to get tougher with us Americans until China has shown it can commit to being a global trade partner and free market overseer. Communist economics are not the future of the world and Americans will never accept the mindset. You can give Africa and the Middle East roads that lead to your malls and industrial complexes but you can’t give them an economic model that doesn’t rely on principles of American origin.

America's economic falling and deficits. What happened to cause America's economic decline in the past twenty years and how can we fix it. Because the U.S leadership has failed to lead: They allowed unfair trade policy. Surely, America's Free Trade Agenda are changing under the Trump Administration. Definitely the Trade Policy of the Trump Administration is good for the National Association of Manufactures (NAM)' and American workers. However, cheap labor and shoddy products made in China and Vietnam has been pouring into the American market in the past two decades. Meanwhile, Vietnam today serves as a warehouse inventory so that China can take advantage of Vietnam's lower Trade Tariffs. Unfortunately, Trade policy between the U.S and China in the past twenty five years, has resulted in economic deficits in the United States and always leaves America on a losing side. Furthermore, the U.S. Congress and American people should look back over the past twenty five years and review what happened to the American economy, caused by these trade deficits with China and other American counterparts, such as third world countries and American's Allies. In Addition, these countless problems are related with to intellectual property thefts by china and corporate espionage, that cost the Americans business to lose hundreds billions of dollars each year since China became a member WTO (World Trade Organization) in 2001. Read Article: Intellectual property theft www.nytimes.com/2017/08/15/opinion/china-us-intellectual-property-trump.html www.locklizard.com/intellectual_property_theft. Then in 2006 the Bush administration helped the Vietnam communist regime to gain membership in the WTO. Also the Bush administration removed Vietnam from the list of "religious freedom violators" Countries of Particular Concern (CPC). Accordingly, in 1995 the Clinton Administration Normalized diplomatic relations with communist Vietnam. Since then, hundreds of billions of dollars from investors around the world have poured into Vietnam. That money helps the Tyranny Dictator communist regime in Hanoi to alive and in power. Meanwhile, every year the Vietnamese Americans who live in the U.S. they also send money to Vietnam. The estimates are between $15-20 billion U.S dollars each year. That money is running out of the American wealth, to the delight of the Hanoi Regime. Vietnam today exported product sale in the U.S. is estimated at $40 billion dollars a year, and increases every year. However, a question what percent of the products from Vietnam, exported to America are made in Vietnam or made in China. Vietnam today is number one corruption and bribery in Asian. The corruption systems started from the high ranking of government in Hanoi, spreading throughout the province, district to officials, and in the small village. The culture corruption and bribery in Vietnam today is destruction and affecting, costs to the businesses and Vietnamese workers. Today Vietnam’s communist party controls the labor class, setting workers up with beyond low pay. Meanwhile, the foreign companies like China,Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore.., Establish their manufacturing companies in Vietnam and control labor who have no voice. These businesses range from making clothing, shoes, agricultural products, seafood processing, etc… Unfortunately, Vietnamese workers start work from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, six days a week, all for a low average pay about $80 dollars a month For example the Hai Phong shoe factories located in Duong Kinh District, which are owned by China and Taiwan have their workers make the shoes, which they only export to the U.S and U.K. These shoe brands can cost as high as $800 to $1,000 dollars in the U.S., while Vietnamese labor workers start with a measly average of about $ 80 dollars a month. These people have no such thing as workers’ rights, or control over their working conditions, or pay. Finally, as long as China uses Vietnam as a 'warehouse for their inventory' it will continue to adversely affect America's economy. That will be a huge challenge for the Trump administration to overcome. Notes: The Vietnamese workers have no Independent Labor Unions, they only have the Vietnam communist party labor unions . If the Trump Administration follows in the footsteps of the past three administrations, America will not prevail. Today, Hanoi Regime continues to increase the violence against the people by using terrorist tactics to target religious freedom, activists for human rights, free speech, social media and especially the Hmong people living in the highlands of central Vietnam. The US wants to compete with China. US population 325.7 million, China's 1.379 billion, and America is worried about keeping people out, It's a bit cheeky but I have to quote Stalin on this one "Quantity has a quality all its own.". I know it's not a simple topic, but for those of us that wants to see a strong USA it needs the people. Maybe migrations reform will be part of the solution but sometimes it just boils down to numbers.

ikm64 China wants to compete with the US. US GDP reaches $19 trillion yearly and China has $10 trillion. It's a bit cheeky but I have to quote Ramez Naam on this one, "We've seen over time that countries that have the best economic growth are those that have good governance, and good governance comes from freedom of communication." Sometimes it just boils down to numbers.

Thanks for you contribution; You seem to think that China does not know how to run a country because it lacks basic freedoms. I am just going to give you one stat: According to the World Bank, more than 500 million people were lifted out of extreme poverty as China's poverty rate fell from 88 percent in 1981 to 6.5 percent in 2012, as measured by the percentage of people living on the equivalent of US$1.90 or less per day in 2011 purchasing price parity terms. I wish the USA and Europe could match these numbers,in relative terms. Some books on the topic I've read in the last few months and would recommend to you ; What's Wrong with China by Paul Midler Death by China: Confronting the Dragon - A Global Call to Action by Peter W. Navarro,Greg Autry The China Crisis: How China's Economic Collapse Will Lead to a Global Depression by James R. Gorrie I am a big fan of the US, and I would like to see it remain the leader of the free World. Ill leave you with a quote, "All work and no plagiarism makes for dull sermons!", and thank you for your input.

ikm64 You totally misread the point of my comment. Saying, "You seem to think that China does not know how to run a country because it lacks basic freedoms" is foolish. I didn't say it, I just quoted Ramez Naam. All I did was to reinforce your point: quote-unquote, Quantity has a quality all its own, but sometimes it just boils down to numbers. This is exactly about the numbers I posted. Don't you agree? By the way, China is the leading thief in the world. Stealing is bad, stealing is unacceptable, stealing is shameful, stealing means digging your own grave. "Self-plagiarism is style." Alfred Hitchcock. Thank you four your input.

Yes, we do agree China is changeling, a lot of it's behavior fall's far outside what is acceptable in the West. As I said before I am a big fan of the USA, things like free speech, the ability to critique your government without sanction, are freedoms hard earned by hero's and enjoyed by people like me. I fear the current administration, underestimated both China's and Russia's determination to disrupt America's hegemony. I fear America alone will not have the economic power to take on these countries , so when President Trump questions things like NATO, the EU, and free trade with democratic nations, this to me is not a good idea and not ultimately in Americas long term interest. Where trade imbalance exist he is more then right seeking redress. China and Russia are serious threats it would be very unwise to underestimate either.
