First off your problem of confusion can be alleviated by FIRST know thyself and then maybe everything else will fall in line and you will find the Liberty you seek. As far as the smoking age being raised to 21 that is a good thing we have almost a 100 year history that proves smoking increases Cancer. If you want to smoke make your own why buy it. As far as the Civil Forfeiture laws those are being promulgated by your Local and State Governments because of Criminal/Democrats or sloppy inept/incompetent Liberals that don't have an idea on how to balance a check book let alone a State or Local Government. And your Bump stock argument is hooey too. At least you have a 2nd amendment which if Hillary would have gotten in you wouldn't have a Constitution let alone a 2nd Amendment.

Taking 2 billion more from each state in America, when the budget is already at record highs. Could have just stayed the same as last year's record budget of 639 billion. 2 billion dollars per State could have addressed tons and tons of issues that have been left out of control for years in some cases decades left unaddressed. I believe the nation's state's could have truly used that much needed funding for 1 year.

@Roland well California has a massive tax issue that's destroying California. That is there main problem, them being so over the national average as a tax system, there tax system is based on a tourist target system, where California is largely a tourist season state, half a year, the others larger part is mostly farming industry. So it's tourism and farming. I've wondered and debated my thoughts on a possible option / solution that would give an economic boost and possibly be able to turn the state around, and the thought would be to have a 2 system tax system based on seasons, summer and winter, so that way the intire state isn't stuck with tourism target tax system. But during the winter the state drop to national average tax scale system, and in the summer increase to a certain% higher than the national average. That way long term residents as a state aren't paying extreme high taxes all year around. In a since a seasonal based tax system. But there are other options as well but California needs a solution to many factors. Even the electric grid.... But I understand what you are saying,. But tourism and farming are both seasonal concepts, would make sense to have a seasonal based tax system that fits the state according to that factor.... Because so many people are with out jobs in the winter in California than in the summer when both major factors are in full operations. All tourism and all farmer's. *And when I said Nations state's* That's Republican and Democratic states, as in all states in America. My comment wasn't a one party only comment.

Without the military, we would be a LOT worse off, in many, many ways (including loss of freedom). The goal is to have the best military, so you never have to use it for war.
