This is a civil trial. The laws are not as stringent as a criminal trial. At any rate regardless of the trial type the judge can restrict your response based on the questions asked. Yes or no questions are preferred due to the layout of the court.

In Trump's case the compilation was done with a footnote that accountants will not vouch for the valuation. Please name any NY state law that would require use of GAAP? That is right there is non. That is why Trump is tried under the civil penalty which has much lesser standard to prove guilt if any. This is going for appeal 100 %, But with NY liberal judges you never know.

If you have enough money you can buy justice but if you are not wealthy and spend every nickle you can spend or borrow you will get the same result as if you used a public defender. Some of them are corrupt. People would be better off representing themselves unless they are wealthy. Judges can be bought and juries hand picked for guilty verdicts. There is no real justice in America.

The transcript is there. Anyone can see trump not responding to the question. A yes or no question is a yes or no question. Instead he rambled on about Russia. His own attorneys have the right to let their client speak further on each question. They didn’t bother. Trump complains he didn’t get a jury trial. In 2018 I was arguing motions in front of a U.S. Magistrate Judge in his 70's, who was extremely belligerent and told me I could not object to Defendant's Attorney. Turns out he had decided his conclusions before I ever got to court - even had his written decision prepared beforehand. I realized at that time there was no justice to be found and that courts had replaced Rule of Law with Law By Rules. Sad days ahead for America.

Trumps lawyers know quite well that they can ask Trump to expand on his previous answers when they question him. When it's their turn. "Mr. Trump, you were asked a Yes or No question and you were not allowed to go into detail. Let's do that now..." They know when he's being questioned by the AG he is only allowed to answer the questions as asked, and it's in the AG's interest to ask her questions in the manner she thinks yields the most damning evidence. But that's how court works. The defense attorneys will have their turn to ask those same questions in a manner that allows Trump to explain the details. So why do you think this video doesn't mention ANY of that? Because Fox, and Trump's attorneys, lie by omission.
