Bad behaviour and disrespect were expected from the press, so he just sat there and more or less watched the spectacle where part of the press made worldwide fools out of themselves. Fools ask questions about internal affairs when they have a guest in the White House. It is as polite as if you have a guest from abroad in the house, eat dinner and someone not supposed to be in the house, a vole asks if your wife/daughter have menstruation - and stuff like that.

He doesn't demand people to carry him on their shoulders, but carry the people on his shoulders. @rvborgh yet at the same time, you ARE "Representative democracy"....your Congress is one example of representative democracy....or are you denying that? Yes you are Republic of states, but at the same time your elections are based on the ideas of democracy....and thats what he or anyone else means when talking about US... I mean heck Finland is officially called "Republic of Finland".....cause although we have quite different system from US, its not THAT different...while we dont have states, we have "regions" and the way our elections work here when we elect our goverment is that people from each region vote for people that are in the elections from that same region, just like you would vote ppl from your own state in USA. So really you are nitpicking when you say that "we are not democracy, we are republic", cause yes your elections are based on the exact same principle of democracy....even if your states all have their own special rights and laws from eachother, thats the biggest difference and ofc your President holds more power than most presidents of western nations.

Democracy ids more about who rules - that people have some say how things should run: the politics, republic is more about the administration, bureaucracy. Democratic simply means people's voice, their vote, counts for something - the country is not a monarchy or or other system ruled by one individual. There are no 'republic, republican' elections - but a republik can have democratic elections, or elections were the democratic rights of the voters are compromised, manipulated - violated. Jason S. I can’t fault them all for it. Trump mastered the “art” of controlling the message and dominating the media. I know many people who voted for him because they were tired of corruption in the government (how the tides have turned, right?), or because they finally felt like they were being heard. This man coming in promising jobs, worker benefits, and a voice for all of those people who feel disenfranchised in modern America. He said everything they needed to hear, and once they heard what they wanted, they could no longer hear anything else. Those that do still support him or try to defend him and his betrayal of the office of the US Presidency, well, quite frankly I have nothing to say to them. If you haven’t made an independent judgement condemning his behavior after we’ve been presented with the facts, I think you’ve got a real fundamental problem with your understanding of our democracy.

@Criminology M.A. Democracy is a system of government where the citizens exercise power by voting. In a direct democracy, the citizens as a whole form a governing body and vote directly on each issue. In a "Representative Democracy the citizens elect representatives from among themselves". A Republic is a form of government in which the Country is considered a public matter. The primary position was that powers within a Republic are not inherited but which are a "Democracy" oligharchy or autocracy. "In the context of American Constitution the definition of republic refers specifically to a form of government in which elected individuals represent the citizen body and exercise power according to the rule of the land under a Constitution , including separation of powers." We are a Republic but we are also a Representative Democracy" because we exercise our powers by voting. Our elected officials represent the citizen body and exercise power according to the rule of law under a Constitution , including the separation of powers. In essence we are both a Republic and a Democracy.

And establishment of diplomatic relationship. Our relationship has now this year 2019 continued for 100 years! Our relationship has been solid and special, which is historically documented. Thank god for president trump. 2020 will b a landslide for president trump. We have more sane voters for trump than you democrats wish u had. Red accross the board. Go trump go. 2020 victory
If you actually took the time to watch the whole thing.... Trump saying "Ask the President of Finland a question. Dont be rude." Was because he had him come to our country only for the press to ask Trump questions about collusion and impeachment. Disrespectful if you ask me.
That was awkward 😂😂
Such an objective news source. Trump’s world falling apart.
Good one, Chris. 😂😂😂.
Finland: Don't under estimate our power usa
You know when you're on a late night bus or train home, and the crazy drunk guy sits down next to you? Yeah. That's what that was.

Yeah but you don't really punch the drunk on the train but Trump, I make no promises....🤔
:D :D You have a craziest president on world history :D :D
Trump has no clue about cultural differences or decorum.
Meanwhile, president of Finland to Biden: “We generally don’t start wars” 🤣🤡🤣🤡🤣🤡🤣🤡🤣🤡🤣🤡
THE GUEST PRESIDENT DOESN'T LOOK VERY ACCEPTING OF THIS " MEET THE PRESS" OPPORTUNITY....
Sauli is maybe the most powerful/smartest guy in EU. And did any other leader say to Trump something better that "Keep the democracy going...."? Not that I know.
It is a shame that the "President of Finland" doesn't have a name though!
we Finnish people dont talk much....but when we talk ....do not interrupt us.
When he said ask this man a question...the reporter should have asked him, "did you ever have a conversation with trump about raking ou forests." That would have been epic since they keep replaying that one clip.
The Executive has become grotesque .
It is not complicated. They got along very well.
Wow how foolish does the president of the United States look to Finland and the world
1:37 Yep, looks like a real stable genius.
Yeah, bet no one from Finland will want to immigrate here now

They have not done that for a long long long time. Finland is a prosperous Nordic country with high standard of living.
You have a great democracy, keep it going on. Words from the Finish president to Trump. Another words you are f-ing it up.

The USA is not a democracy but a republic.
As an finnish citizen its seems to me that your news networks are quite politically controlled which is truly sad, and if your wonder i am not a supporter of trump not even close.
Sauli Niinistö is good president
Best president ever
VIVA DONALD TRUMP , GRANDE AMÉRICA.
I'm so sorry President Trump.
Finnish version Mr.Mcmahon
