Thank you for a great tutorial. However, I have accidentally deleted my CSR in Truenas and when I recreate it, I just get "external - signature pending". This complicates things as when I click on the "wrench icon" I only get Dns under Domains. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Try recreating from the beginning but choosing a different name for each step. It may just be struggling on old data for some reason.

I have another question :) You have a video on setting up next cloud with collabora but that is not yet tunneled, How do you configure collabora with cloudflare tunnel?

Ohhh fantastic question. I assumed that the collabora access was only needed locally for the Nextcloud server. I’m a few thousand miles away from home this week. I’ll run some tests and see what happens.

Thanks for the tutorial! Any chance you know how to do this with nginx proxy manager handling the certificate instead? I got all my other apps working fine with this approach and would prefer to keep it consistent :(

Hey man thanks to you I have my nextcloud up and running. I tried to install the nextcloud office too but it keeps saying is unable to connect to the collabora server. Any ideas why? I'm also using the cloudflare services to have external access. Thanks a lot

And you got the collabora “app” installed first? If not I walk through that in one of my other Nextcloud videos. There are a few check boxes you have to make sure are ticked…but I can’t recall off the top of my head here.

Weird. Nextcloud Office is supposed to work out of the box on current versions, and its main competitor, collabora server, is running perfect on mine.

I got a "Bad Gateway Error code 502", I don't know where it went wrong, route in the tunnel was not showing my domain either!

It works perfectly when I'm connected to the same network. I don't understand why Nextcloud is blocking me there

If I follow all your settings, can I access my TrueNAS Nextcloud on an external network simply by entering the domain name I purchased from Cloudflare in my browser? Will I need to configure any additional network settings on my home router?

@@RandysRandomHobbies I found another issue, after I put my Nextcloud on the internet with my domain name, I found that I couldn't edit the document in Nextcloud anymore, then I checked there is an error in Collabora: "Your browser has been unable to connect to the Collabora server: (my Collabora server internal ip). This URL is determined on the Collabora server either from the configured URL or the server_name parameter in coolwsd.xml." Do you have any idea? Any setting I need to adjust in Cloudflare or in my Collabora app in Nextcloud?

After watching your video, after setting up everything, the tunnel is showing Inactive and the CloudFlare app is showing Deploying. please help me

Hmmmmm…certain apps need Prometheus operator and cloudnativePG apps installed first. This MAY be one of those scenarios (but I don’t want to test and break my system 😂)

@tarikulislamyasin2958 you only have to copy the token key (the random letter string) and paste it to cloudflare app. Not all the command line.

Now that is a new one for me! Did you enter a default user and password in the truenas setting? Another thing may be just browser compatibility, try a different one?

@@RandysRandomHobbies another update, i did install a fresh one with fresh set of drive. I did order a new one so why not start from scratch. I follow your 2 videos. One, setting up nextcloud and this video for me to access it outside. It works on the first one and I was able to use it as normal but the moment I put it to tunnel, the login dissapears and its just a blank background. the domain has a slug of /login at the end but the log in in the middle of the page is not appearing. Please help

Hello! I found the solution. It is because of of CloudFlare Rocket loader. Just disable it from content optimization section and everything is working fine after that. Just putting it here if other people encounter the same problem. Thanks for your help! I am a fan and subscriber now :)

You’ll likely have to add those arguments each time you update, but worst case you can just do a rollback under the app settings. I’m not certain if this will be undated again until the true docker path forward is released. Then that is either going to be chaos or super easy, we’ll have to wait and see.

How did you get Overseer to work?

Overseer will work with just a basic tunnel and a route set up. Still need the domain obviously, but none of the shenanigans of Nextcloud complexity.

I’m not 100% sure what’s going on there, but several people have confirmed this working for them as well. If you figure it out please post what the issue was! I know one comment said something about making sure “rocket loader” was turned off.
