Yes, true women. To the end. Good movie. As decendant of one who went through the Trail of Tears into Oklahoma, the stories were told when I was a child of the suffering. The bitterness died with the last relatives in my generation. Our nation had too many who hated for hate's sake from cause to cause, and war to war. Yet I like the way this story shows that love, respect, and forgiveness is the path to peace. Well done.😊

I too am a descendant of people who have hated, and some who still hate. There is, and has been, deep bitterness over things that happened to prior generations, in a different time, and in different circumstances. At some point someone has to let go of the past and just let it be. Dragging old, past grievances along with us serves no purpose. I’m convinced that some people cannot be at ease with themselves unless they hold grudges and grievances. I don’t want to be one of them. I choose to let go of the past, and hope that other people will let me. I wish you love and peace.

The young girl actresses are first class!! Angelina and Dana are and always gave been top class actresses. Great movie

A magnificent look at American history. Angelina Jolie and Dana Delaney were standouts (as usual). There was laughter, tears, joy, and excitement - and that was just me!!! I thoroughly recommend this movie as a well acted, and quite accurate from what I've read, drama about the early west. I LOVE American history, and this movie transported me back to a time that was not THAT long ago, but far removed from the comforts of modern times.

Thank you so much for this fantastic movie, the best film I have seen for such a long time.

This movie is and has been in my top five favorite movies since it came out in the late '70's. The book's sits in my bookshelf and has been read more than a couple of times. Dana Delaney I've lived since I first saw her in China Beach about Viet Nam. Angelina Jolie did a fabulous job as Georgia. Thank you for this!!

that is our history, It is ugly and bloody and horrific., and it is filled with heroic feats and true grit. it is a wonder that we , at this time, can read and see stories of such an incredible time in our history. BE so grateful to those women who were actually jailed ,beaten , publicly humiliated just because they wanted to have a say about their own lives.

Worth watching all the way. Great story, excellent cast, superb acting!!! Those girls had solid friendship when they were younger. Later on, the friendship was severed because of opposing stands regarding some realities of the society they lived in. But I'm glad they were able to reconcile again. 'Sarah' was a warrior in every way. Every human being deserves respect, irrespective sex, race, color or economic strength. There is no such thing as superiority between male and female; no race on earth is better than others. There's no need to fight or kill one another. We're all humans. I may not know you, but I love you all, wherever you are.

This was absolutely incredible. im completely speechless. i have no idea why 1997 ive never heard or seen this 2 part movie before. it's absolutely wonderful & the best depiction of true american history in a film ive ever seen including a tremendous focus on a particular set of women during the founding of this nation. so many tid bits making up the whole i really would love to see this as part of standard school curriculum. what more history does anybody need to see how things were. it wasn't even that long ago. so unbelievably well done i enjoyed every minute of this fine story telling adventure with some pretty surprise performances. great lines too like 'there must be more to life than just livin' :) everyone needs to watch this 2 part Epic American Adventure. the acting by the 3 main women we already know & love was perfect. really changed my whole perspective on things, things you think you already know.

I SOO LOVED THIS MOVIE HAD MY Heart @ HELLO !!!

I appreciate the performance of all the actors in this movie. It glossed over the true heart brake of Native American and African Americans in the 19th century. The "good hearted" settlers were very few and far between. However I will give it credit for capturing the feel of Texas charm! The main characters were very much like the women of Texas! It gets a solid 4 of 5 stars.
