The principal is that the labels look too similar and you're paying premium whiskey price for hot wine. I don't drink but I'd be pissed. It's not that people can't read it that this company hoped nobody would read. It's sneaky and disingenuous.

A bartender friend once told me, "bartending is dead in the USA." Noone who knows anything about alcohol would ever be misled by the word "whiskey" on a bottle of fireball. That's like saying people might confuse ketchup with vine-ripened organic tomatoes, because of the picture on the label.

So fireball cinnamon does contain “alcohol” but not “whisky” Makes sense why the gas station ones were so weak compared to me taking 7 shots of tequila/whisky

In this part of Texas, gas stations & grocery stores just started selling em last year. Now, me noticing that there were no other "liquor" options at any of those stores told me that it was a fake.

Yeah I was wondering why I got a big pack of them for so cheap. Got home and noticed it was only around 10%abv and was confused

If you went to subway and the 6 inch subs substituted veggie meat without stating it. And only the footlongs contained actual meat and youre paying premium meat prices for carrots. You'd be mad too.

The definition of "whiskey" in the USA is basically "anything that looks/smells/tastes like whiskey." (27 CFR § 5.143 - Whisky.) How in your opinion does one misrepresent that? We take "rye" and "bourbon" much more seriously on this continent, and I think people are confused by this. I'm a fan of actual whiskey/whisky but I see this as a frivolous moneygrab for lawyers and a waste of time for judges.

I don't drink but could you imagine a 12 ounce can of coke containing sams cola? It seems disingenuous that the label doesn't have in bold letters "malted beverage " I think people are mad because it seemed like they hope nobody would notice but still pay a premium whiskey price for hot wine....that's my take again I don't drink but if a 12 can of coke wasn't coke and only the 2 liter bottle was and the labels so identical I couldn't tell....yeah I'd be mad.

Um you think a .99cent bottle is premium ? Even the actual fireball whisky isn’t premium . It does say malt beverage under the cinnamon and nowhere state’s whisky. 🤷‍♂️

Nah, it’s still F’d up because they used to same label. Now because they wanted to be shady all this bad publicity is gonna negatively effect their real ‘Fireball’ whiskey that’s sold in the liquor stores. And they’ll deserve it. I don’t care if everyone in the Tri State area becomes a part of the class action lawsuit and only gets a 5 dollar check…. they should cash it. So companies don’t feel so free to use the shady practices.

It contains about as much alcohol (not liquor) as beer, wines, Mike's hard, twisted teas, etc.. People get drunk off of all of the above I just mentioned. It's the fact that it looks just like the regular fireball whisky and it's labeling stating that it's not is so tiny that people missed it, I guess. I knew it wasn't the regular fb when it started popping up in regular stores in this area last year because those stores didn't have any other liquor options to purchase.

there are 2 versions of the small bottle.. one says Fireball Whiskey, and does contain whiskey.... the. other says Fireball.. and contains malt beverage also, 1 how does this monetarily hurt anyone?. What are the people's damages.. also, if a company is going to have to pay punitive damages, in a case like this it should not go to private citizens.... it should be like a fine and go to the government or some government organization

Yes but what if they decided they were going to make their entire can of diet Coke look exactly like the Coke can? The only difference was that in very very very very small print they put the word diet technically they put it there you just needed to read. They purposely made their bottle look exactly the same as the other bottle and just change one word there has been many cases where this kind of thing has made it so I a company was found guilty of trying to defraud at their customers
