About the album:
For True North, a-ha decided on a new approach. Their first collection of new songs since 2015’s Cast In Steel is more than a straightforward album - and unique for a-ha. While True North is a new album, it is also a film capturing a-ha recording the songs during November 2021 in Bodø, the Norwegian city located 90km above the Arctic Circle.
With what at once is their 11th studio album and also a very immediate document of its creation, a-ha have entered a new world. About what is coming and where we all are now, True North’s songs are imbued with a sense of place and a deep connection with how we interact with the environment. With this unadorned dispatch from Norway, a-ha show where they are from and who they are, and how the connection between the two is unbreakable. I look and think how strange it is to see them getting older, and then I realize that "stories are painted in lines" on my face as well. I am getting older too. I am glad I grew up with their music, and that it's still being renewed.
Mags,Morten hi there boys!What a great feeling for someone to touch again with his hands and also 'smell' a real physical format of your last album such as a vinyl is. .Just like good ole times.

Молодец! А вот я на их последний концерт собиралась-собиралась, да и не пошла. Мне дочка деньги специально подарила под это дело. А я побоялась разочароваться, подумала: как мне потом жить, если увижу Мортена старым, не вытягивающим высокие ноты. Вот дура-то! Друзья ходили, сказали, что всё было круто! А теперь я вообще понимаю, что, возможно, никогда не представится такая возможность. Не прощу себе!

Я была на концерте в середине 2000 и разочаровалась. Но сейчас я бы хотела просто увидеть Мортена, пусть бы он и пел потише.

@@norwayaha900 I don't know but it seems uncontrollable if you look closely, Morten is always super relaxed in interviews and here I see it differently... The hand has movements that seem uncontrollable

@@SabrinaDiab12 I think he could just be very drained from the tour. It was an extremely crazy and long one. Plus he had COVID too. I am beginning to think he is maybe a right brained introvert as well. Introverts lose energy from stimulation where extroverts (like I believe Magne is) thrive from it. He could be so drained that he is trying his best to act interested and polite, but he’s just so drained and edgy now. The right brained part nagged him into doing this video. I am hoping that could be what it is anyway. 🤞🏼 Hopefully he is where he can get a lot of quiet and downtime to recover and be better.🙏🏼 I am a right brained introvert, so I was thinking maybe I am picking up on this with Morten. 🤷🏻♀️ I know if I would if had as much stimulation as he did the last year and COVID? Wow….if I wasn’t dead ,(😅) I would be a total mess! I would have to go somewhere quiet and avoid most people for quite a while to recover. I don’t know how Morten and Pål do it, if I am right about the introvert part. 🙃

@@nektariosmourelatos-ni6vz He's taking a break. He had his first grand child just last year and has two teen age daughters. In an interview last October, he talks about the price of fame and how it's costly to get privacy. I am guessing he paid a pretty penny not to be seen for a while.
Love this little behind-the-scenes type of moment. It's telling, however, that Pal isn't there. And as for Morten's apparent lack of interest, I think that's just how he is with things like this, it's not his style to be interested in something like unboxing the album. He's doing it to be a good sport, and because he was asked to (and these two guys get along pretty well lately), but this is far more in Magne's wheelhouse than in Morten's. It's all right, they are different people.

It could be that Pål was back home already. They live on different continents. Also, I think Pål is pretty introverted, so this isn’t his kind of thing. He’d rather be playing the guitar. 😉 I believe you’re right about Magne and Morten. Magne comes off as an Extrovert for sure. Morten feels like a right brained introvert. Yep, he’s not really interested, but he knows he should do it, so he’s trying his best. To him, there are more exciting things to do or talk about than this. 🙃Probably still drained from that crazy long tour as well.

I completely agree. Morten doesn't seem like himself. He barely spoke. I hope this is not true, but it looks like symptoms of MS, Parkinsons, or some other nerve issue. He was slightly shifting around. He's probably still dealing with the effects of COVID@@christinvoyadzis

I Would Love To See Morten Again Someday🥰 AFTER THE SHOW I ASKED MY FATHER TO FOLLOW THE AHA GROUP BUS TO THE HOTEL SO I COULD GET AN AUTOGRAPH ON MY VINYL RECORD, AND EVERYTHING WORKED OUT, I GOT ON THEIR BUS AND MORTEN KINDLY GAVE ME THE AUTOGRAPH...LIVING IN VANCOUVER CANADA I SAW DOZENS OF CELEBRITIES I NEVER BEEN INTERESTED IN ASKING FOR AUTOGRAPHS, THIS ONLY HAPPENED WITH MORTEN...HE MAKES ME FEEL 16 YEARS YOUNG AGAIN.
