✹Synopsis:
In 1812, Anthony Bridgerton was not looking for love when a certain Katherine Pierce arrived on the business of the queen. Sharp-witted and charismatic, he finds a challenge in someone as competitive as her- and it intrigues him.
Both arrogant, Anthony confesses his feelings to her- knowing he can't control them anymore. To his surprise, Katherine turns down his feelings and explains that she does not reciprocate them. Disbelieving her, he proposes to her, and she finally accepts how she feels towards Anthony.
After a night spent together, she is strung by her feelings- and her guilt of being a vampire falling in love with a human. When her vampirism is revealed from her quick healing- Anthony is not afraid, he just feels guilty.
Then there's Elena, reeling with the past memories of a man and a life she never lived.
