Nearly the 13th of April hear in North Warwickshire UK. Yes Sir, the UK. I can't visit your fine country… But this is the best way of visiting I can get, and it's amazing watching, my father and his before him were truckers, so there's a kind of kindred spirit within that draws me to watching and enjoying your uploads. I was born mid-sixties and my ma always said either my Grandfather, or my Dad would take me on some long hauls (small country here though), apparently you couldn't get me out of the cab if I climbed up into it, I was actually well know at some of the old truckers stops and even earned free meals on occasion by telling jokes and such. Simpler times, better people, unspoiled country, roads and wagons you had to work hard to master. Wished they were both still around. Bless you and your rig, best wishes and good luck to you and yours, safe journey.

Im with you on the shot i dont believe that I need it ,i respect the ones that feels the need to get it .i have to many things wrong that the shot could make things worse, im not going to risk it.i have Fibromyalgia and its unbearable because i cant take the medication that would help me .trucking can be hard on a person. Hope you are enjoying the new house. Its nice to have a place to rest when you can. Still would love to see this country some day.but this is the next best thing for now.stay safe out there and thanks for the best ride ive ever had.until next the adventure. God bless.

Riding Shotgun : I can't thank you enough for uploading this fascinating video to KZread. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I live in Graceville, Florida, a little tiny town in northwest Florida, just three miles south of the Florida/Alabama State Line. I'd love to take a trip on that highway one day. It wouldn't bother me if my next door neighbor lived twenty or thirty miles away. You don't have that here in northwest Florida.

I love "riding along" with you! I'd like to do it for real. I like your smooth banter about anything and everything - you just seem like you'd just be fun to be with. Good old US 50! One of my favorite destinations in the whole country! Yes a road like US 50 is definitely a destination as well as a way to get somewhere. It's just a long and skinny destination. My first exposure to US 50 was when I was 13 and moved with my folks from Colorado Springs to San Jose. I was enamored with the wide open spaces, quiet, loneliness and what many would no doubt call "desolation". Even at 13 LOVED it and still do! Today I live in such a place. Of course I've always been a "loner". I currently have an "adopted grandson" who is incredibly so much like in all of those respects and more when I was at his age (19). I love him dearly. He's currently traveling the country in an RV that he saved up to buy and then he thoroughly renovated it. He posts videos on YT of his travels. Take care and keep truckin' Love your videos.

Ely is named after Ely in the UK which is in the fens, a low lying marshy area. Ely has a large cathedral worth looking at, It sits on the Isle of Ely, a small area of dry ground. The name Ely derives from the abundance of eels in the surrounding water which in medieval times many were sent to the crown in London as a form of taxation.

I would argue that now is the best time for that trip. Especially if you are vaccinated. Less congested highways and hotels are CHEAP right now. disclaimer!!! This is not a political statement in ANY way, I work with immunocompromised elderly people. As a healthcare worker, i felt the need to do so. I AM NOT trying to convince anyone that doesn't want the vaccine. It was MY decision.

@@LKemp-lr1ky I HAVE experienced losing a friend to Covid. I also lost a friend in an auto accident who happened to have Covid when he was killed, and his death was counted as a Covid death! That should trouble everyone when it comes to the accuracy of reported Covid deaths. There is a vast difference between dying WITH Covid as opposed to FROM Covid. I don't have a problem with authority. But I DO have a problem with stupidity. Not one death has been reported anywhere in the world from Omicron, yet we are ready to shut down the country again over this mild variant of the virus. At one time it was a very lonely piece of road , much of it gravel but anyone with a Winnebago is on it today with all the hype. It was a lonely road when you drove from Eastgate to nearly Austin without seeing another moving vehicle.

I really enjoy riding along with you and you talking I even answer back. Funny when my kids walk into the room and ask me who are you talking to mom and I reply Oh it's Mike and we're back on the Road. 😁

Nice to get a look at this route. I'll be cycling this from sacramento in a couple of months time, part of a cross country route to new york. I'm a truck driver in Ireland, a bit greener over here
