You are the man. I started trucking with a chauffeurs license in 1987. Being from eastern Idaho I anytime I head out, I have a mountain range to go over. It’s all perspective. I agree driving in the amount of snow you had, is never fun. Empty trailer is bad, but bobtailing is a white knuckle drive, regardless. You explained the conditions perfectly. It wasn’t a blizzard, but most people would think it was. When 2” an hour is going sideways, you got a blizzard. Winter stinks for anyone in the industry. Oh, and using the equipment you have, even if not desired, is how you keep costs down.

I'm in U.K. some places, mainly high elevation are snowed in. I'm on the eastern, lower flatter side of England, it's been a sunny and cold day here. Not bad at all. Hoping it stays that way. Good luck with your snow.

I already discover your channel and I sub . I like the challenge driving in blizzard conditions ,slow down & chill out while driving. I'm driving type B train trailers in canada, for now I'm stopping nearby fuel station because the road was closed due to blizzard.

Kudos Brother! The best advice I’ve got for you is this: Be willing and able to do (safely & timely) what others can’t or won’t! Do it without whining, crying or complaining; but, instead with an attitude of gratitude! Every once in a while you’ll get that crap sandwich. I respond with,, ( Insert BAD cockney accent) Thank you Sir… May I have another!?! Continue to be the pleasant, positive, class act that they WANT to be around. Not that you need my approval, but I’m proud of you for going the extra mile, for going above and beyond expectations!

5:55 every European trucker: dirty wet shoes/boots in the cab? Hell no. I'll leave my shoes on the steps. Lucky I got "3 steps to heaven" to put my dirty boots so I can keep my cab clean, after all: it's almost the living room.😅

I see you pull Menards loads. Where do you haul out of? I use to pull loads out the Holiday City, Ohio DC all over the place and I’ve even been to a couple Menards DCs in Illinois and a couple in Wisconsin. Haven’t pulled any loads from them in almost a year, but the last time I pulled loads for them I only pulled van trailers. A previous company I worked for I pulled both van and flatbed trailers out of the Holiday City.

Funny thing about that is, regardless of weather sometimes the working man just has to go no matter what, a comment like that tells me this guy gets a stupid check from the government. Im a retired logger and truck driver, he was perfectly safe about everything. He took his time and made it, you think this looks bad you should see what a ice and snow covered logging job looks like, one wrong move it could be over. Love the channel stay safe out there brothers
