TruckersMP | Admin pulls over user for in-game tag impersonation | Game Moderator Work

Ойындар

TruckersMP Admin pulls over a user on the simulation server for using an impersonating in-game tag and the user is asked to change it.
I am a Game Moderator on TruckersMP who is keeping the areas between Calais and Duisburg safe.
As this situation does not occur often I thought about recording this with a friend as it was more of a roleplay instead.

Yeah it was fun and hard working at the same time. If you would like to know why I left the team there is a stream where I talked about my experience and a video talking about the GM management that heavily affected me negatively. I do at the same time do miss being a Game Moderator minus the work but seeing that being a great achievement for me eventually turning into a conflicted waste of time is hard to believe. I am collectively unwanted in the GM team by the current management but if I ever got a chance to get back in and the work is at least less than what is was then I would have a real think about it and most likely re-apply. Then again thou I feel like it's just going to be one of those things I had and lost in life.

You are an example of a good admin in truckersmp. That player is lucky that he's been warned by you, and not by an a***hole of an admin I had encountered. That ' admin ' instantly banned me on PERMANENT ! Without any warning freakin' warning !!!! JUST because of nametag "Rec Traffic". HOW THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW ?! He did unbanned me after 5-6 days. But I will never forget that one. Jeez.

Sounds outrageous and I wouldn't do that. Just letting you know that this video was basically a role-play and he was my friend. The rules have changed over the year and I have no idea how they are set up or how strict they are now but I have heard rumours that the rules are out of date and users are just getting banned left right and centre for outrageous reasons. I have no idea what is going on but if I manage to get back into the staff team, I'll suggest improvements and I might to become part of management somewhere in the long run.

Not surprised you left. A lot of other GM's have had similar experiences, which are downright awful. It seems like all the good moderators get kicked out while the downright rude, power hungry and arrogant ones get to say. This is why I barely play TMP anymore. Such a shame.

Yep your pretty much right on target there. I was one of those nice moderators in the community until the work demand made the job an unthankful position, which then effected me a lot with my activity online such as my channel and had to start streaming work in-game which worked both ways, that was until the management stepped in and threatened me with a permanent ban if I didn't take down those streams all because it contained ban evidence. However it's a big story and I still remember it all in detail since I can't get over it but it resulted in me knowing that I got insulted and lied to by the management I worked for, for free. If your interested in hearing more, I talked about my experience of being in the team in a stream about 7 months ago and uploaded a video showing the out right unprofessionalism from the management when contacting them using their ticket system.

Being an admin/game moderator isn't just about kicking or banning players in-game with a police car, in fact from my experience it's hard work and you will disbelieve that it's voluntary, no we do not get paid and you will be expected to get things done if you fall behind or make mistakes, if you would like to apply to be in that position you will need to have a lot of time available for the training and no it is not as simple as it is, you'll need to campaign through the report moderator role long enough to be offered the game moderator role and it takes does quite a while to get that role, the job is not as easy as it seems in fact most of the work is on the website and reports and appeals stack up. I had made a discussion stream recently explaining my experience in the team, you can learn a lot from there if you find the stream.

Hi there, if you have an interest of joining the Game Moderation team of TruckersMP and you are seeking some useful information about it then please read below. The role of a Game Moderator in TMP has nothing to do with pulling users over in red and blue lights (what I did was intended to be a roleplay for a video) or randomly kicking or banning players. If your interested in joining the Game Moderation team of TMP without the intention above then I say good luck. But you may have hinted my advise for your need which I will share anyway. I currently somewhat miss being in that team and participating in the community, I thought it would turn out great however it seemed to have been punched in the face with the result that turned out to be. Being a GM in TMP is not as easy as they seem, it is actually hard work and by the time if you do get accepted there is a long training campaign after the interview if you get accepted from there too. Even if you complete the training which for me actually feels like in my mind travelling to a workplace you will also need to go through another role known as the Report Moderator which you would only be able to manage web reports for a set period of time depending on your activity, quality and judgement from the GMM (Game Moderation Management). It is worth it by the time you earn the full role but you will need to have a lot of time available for it. This isn't like a free thing to do, even if it doesn't pay (which it doesn't), you are constantly required to complete a set amount of work per given time and it just keeps repeating and the only break you get is on Christmas or unless you decide to take one week off per month which is the limit. Your work will be constantly monitored and reviewed by your team leader and any mistake you make or any decision you make that doesn't suit your team leader you will be informed, and no it isn't like one or two things that you can simply fix, sometimes it can be in one of those scenarios where someone just drops off a huge amount of paper work on your desk and expects you to fix it (which is the mistakes you made). Aside from all that, once you join the team prepare to be bomb boarded by multiple users inviting you to their convoy events. By the time you start banning people there are going to be a lot of appeals and angry people that do not know the rules. Once you start declining their appeals and they remain banned accordingly and issued correctly they will start coming over to your socials such as Steam, Discord and KZread or if you use those or anything else. The position can start becoming unthankful and dreadful by the time you get tried of processing the users excuses of what they did wrong then trying to explain their sides right. Also prepare to use Google translator a lot due to the amount of European users as there are many languages in that region as TMP is meant for Europeans. Not to mention the Game Moderation Management and trust me I had my strangle with them. They do not give any flying *****, they are very strict and anything little can get their attention quickly. The rules they created or if by the Senior GMM do not make sense when your trying to put logic together. For an example I was threatened with a permanent ban for not setting the GM work streams to unlisted on my channel, when I got tired from the position and the work that prevented me from uploading content in the first third of 2021, those streams became the only compensation I had with remaining in the team that not only benefited me but also continued to motivate me to get work done even it was constantly repetitive. The problem they had was with the ban evidence that only applied to the public being able to see the ban button being hit (even thou the admin panel is public knowledge, WHICH THEY EVEN ADMIT IN THE GM RULES). So I leave the team because I had to take my streams down and half a dozen weeks later I contact them to ask what I can I say out to the public due to the information I learnt from being within the team so I can explain to my followers why I had a problem with being within the team (before you join the team, you must accept the ISP and GM rules. Once you accept the ISP that applies to you even if you leave or get kicked out of the team). They reply firstly by concluding me as I was doing their work for personal gain and that I used ban evidence for content, which meant basically they gas lighted me and insulted my character. I then eventually find out in the second or third reply that the GM rules do not apply to me once I'm out of the team (the ban evidence rule was part of the GM rules). Basically there is a gap in their rules and they treated the ban evidence rule as if I was violating the ISP, however that rule shows that we are allowed to stream GM work public but must be set to unlisted after as they mention that ban evidence is considered confidential which is essentially the same thing as treating the ISP agreement. So I could go on and on in this reply explaining more of what happened to me but it's too long of a story so I suggest and if you want you to listen to my story you can heard over to the stream titled 'Ex Game Moderator of TruckersMP discusses their experience' and or the video titled 'Beware of the Game Moderation Management of TruckersMP'. In other words there you have it. Although I do not recommend anyone else with a similar interest to join however it's there choice and yours if you want to take that risk I so call. Anyway I hope this was enough to let you understand and create an idea as what people should know first before joining. Good luck. ~~~

Something in general when it comes to this kind of thing (Think Trial Moderator, Moderator, Trial Admin, Admin, Owner heiarchy) is that it can very quickly become draining if a owner is unwilling to improve or fire worthless morons just because they have been around long enough. So many game community owners end up letting their senior team handle everything, which will inevitably end up with the original vision getting lost. It's also very common to see worthless power hungry morons getting promoted because they are socially above average. Or they did 1 genuinly awesome thing once, and now the owner feels obligated to reward it. When I run something, I do it exactly as people don't expect, I don't hesitate to drop a senior admin or even a community manager immediately if they are not up to par, this is because I do not engage in the "friend" charade. They are workers and/or players first, not friends. And if they are causing people with a drive to quit, they are the problem, no matter how much they have done for the community before. Some might call me harsh, idgaf. I remember once when I was made to run a team. I ended up dropping 2 seniors and 5 juniors causing the need for recruitment after a week of observing the team. Dropping those 2 seniors was not popular in that little senior gang. Again, idgaf we have people more willing than you to engage with the community, bye bah! It was not even about activity necessarily, it was that those two seniors did low quality work, and were unfairly harsh on people, especially new people. Administration of a game community is a art and a balance between your own ego and doing a good job, as since you get paid nothing, the next thing in the reward list is getting that ego stroked, at a healthy level.

During my time in staff, I had not seen any actual developers take activity in the GM team however the Project Coordination did change a few things. But really I know something is clearly wrong, I talked with other staff and they basically warned me to not go against the system as in the GMM, because you know. Anyway I could write much more but I have explained my prospective on this channel if you have listened already but I hope more people would get the idea instead of always blaming the regular staff and not the upper staff.

Administrative work is mostly remotely and we also deal with in-game reports, what you see in this video was basically a role-play I did with my friend and of course I did perform a traffic stop with a random before this with a simillar reason. They are fun to do in other words into compensation with the high demand of work on the website.

*After reading your testimonial, I became your eternal FAN.* *I had already seen video from Lorenita's denunciation, you may remember her.* *I didn't do any pre-judgment, what I see is that one admin harms the other for not being in the same "dance" (same circle of coexistence)* *For some time now I've seen many of them retiring so I figured it could only be that, free work. Many want to be admin to have the red name, to do live Stream, like being Camox that is showing off with his cars and lights. Many others who think they are gods, untouchables! It can only be an age phase because if you reflect on it, your life ends up in hard and free work with the risk of slipping on a banana peel and losing everything you've built.* *But I also imagine that many must have a psychopathic profile for this role, as they follow each other and act as if nothing is happening, everything in exchange for power, nothing more.* *Sensible people just like you who had your experience and who today share in a clear way, from their point of view, without offending or denigrating anyone and makes the person, if he has a brain, can actually reflect on reality.* *For these and others I say: I'm your FAN!*

Hey I really appreciate that you understand. Thank you. I am aware of a staff member called Lorenita, I have not talked with her once but would have liked to. I heard some crazy assumptions before, not that I believe them or not but knowing why she left the team I would have liked to have known. Yes, I left due to the free work, how it affects my ability to work on this channel and how I was threatened with a permanent ban for not taking down some in-game work streams. I also nearly lost my channel due to copyright strikes due to the work on the website. Could you imagine working 24/7 for free and all you get is a mix of reputation of players who look up to you and disrespect you? I wouldn't go as far as 'psychopath' but having the knowledge today, I could imagine it being a cult. The way I was treated in 2021 by the GMM was absolutely infuriating, the lies and gap in their rules really made me comment the way they manage. I'm still mad about that. Although a friend that I no longer talk with convinced me to get back into the GM team again but knowing that I was 'apparently still untrusted', I can't apply until 2023. I haven't made up my mind yet about joining or abandoning the idea. But if I do decide to join, they will allow me to be in an interview. Hey I would like to know more what you know. I am live-streaming a discussion with my viewers on the 1st in a few days, if you can't make that you can always join my Revolt server.

Hello, I'm no longer an admin I quit the team last April but I still have knowledge unless they're rules have changed. From you it sounds like a mistake happened which is sometimes common from us admins and usually we do check attached ban evidence a second time if a user appeals. We get straight to the point to understand if a user either says they apologise or it's not there fault. In your case whichever admin banned you checked the evidence again and found a mistake that occurred which meaning your ban got lifted. It is important for us to check if our actioned punishments are correct, all bans are checked by upper staff in the game moderation team. Although I can't give you much information into detail but this portion of explanation should give you the idea that us admins make mistakes and we do fix them if checked.

Hello marcololv, There are two reasons why your car is not driving faster than 60kmph. 1. Make sure you are changing gears, if the server requires you to use manual instead of automatic so that could be the reason. 2. If it's not the gears then you are driving in a city area and the servers restrict the speed to 60kmph in those zones, in order to get out of those zones you will need to drive out of a city. Pensei nisso.

So, what you see in this video. By the way you may need to translate this if you cannot read English. What you see in this video is a planned role-play between me and my friend for the purpose of making a video. This was never a usual procedure done by moderators but only if they get bored I assume. I completely understand what you mean by moderating players that have the intention to drive like it is a GTA environment and have to concern or regard over the rules they agreed to follow. I confirm that this is our job, we punish players at our discretion when we witness or via evidence of them violating rules. This is a repetitive sequence of actions that has no end or point of completion except completing a quota. We get paid nothing to work for free on these servers and managed by very bad management. I believe this has been the case for years and I do not see any objective to show a point to the average player. More players will keep signing up if they we're introduced to the game by KZreadrs or if they we're banned and they evade using another account. I am not sure if you are trying to prove a point regarding me, my channel and the decisions I made while I was an administrator. I was one of the good moderators un-like the power hungry administrators. I fall in the same position as you mentioned Lorenita. The management has very poor treatment against it's administrators and they had insulted, gas-lighted and lied to me. I am not exactly sure what happened to Lorenita regarding the management, but I can easily assume something may worse happened based on rumours I received. I get it, it's all ridiculous and something needs to be done. I have planned on making another video talking about this and will basically not recommend anyone to become a staff member for TruckersMP.
