I have had Thunder, and then Ventures, then stage 7's, stage 9s, 10s, and then Ace classic 55s, flat bar Stage 11 Indys, AF1s 44s & 60s! And I now ride the Stage 4 Reissue 151

copers were basically what people used before wax. you could grind a curb as if it was made for skating. we would sometimes make our own copers with this stuff called friendly plastic you bought at the crafts store.

Venture trucks were just the cheaper version of Independents. Both skate exactly the same. I'm skating Indy bushings on a set of Ventures and they fit perfectly.

Most bushings fit most trucks . It took indy about 20 years to make good bushings ; i used to throw the stock ones out before i even bolted them to the deck and use Tracker bushings instead . Indys always felt great but were often poorly made .

It's better to just ride them and figure it out yourself . The only problem now is just finding a pair of trackers to buy in the first place .

I love Copers, Lappers, Rails, Tail Guards, Nose guards, Heel-bone U Bolts, all that stuff...still use them

Christian H. converted me from Tracker to Indy while hanging out at 555 soul L.A. in 93'. He just asked me why I rode tracker and then said something like....no....Indy bro.

Early Trackers were far better made than Indys . It took indy 10 years to make a truck that didn't bend or crack when you looked at it .

Same story dude, I started with a set of Trackers, on a Lance Mountain deck with 95a Rat Bones, the deck and the wheels lasted longer than the trucks. I got a set of 159 Thunders, now I ride a set of NOS 169 Indies, on a 101 Natas Columbia deck rolling on vintage 95a Bullet 66’s or 97a Vision Big Wheels.

Oh don't worry, mate. I've already binged watched my fair share of Loveletters. It was crazy watching the Eastcoast backyard ramps episode, because I had previously talked to Jay Sigafoos about it extensively. Watching it all has just helped me align all of the 80s skating I love in the correct way.

I remember those Trackers Only stickers. I thought they were the bomb. But now 3 decades later, I've got my son on his second set of Indys. I guess the badboy punks won in the end. I should see if my old Trackers still work.

As much as everyone wants to hate on Trackers for no reason, since they've been brainwashed into thinking "Indy's the best fuck the rest", Trackers are now the ONLY skateboard truck where every single component of the truck is made in the USA. Indy makes their cast hangers and baseplates in the USA, but that's it. Forged hollow trucks and all the other components are all China. Just an FYI. The Tracker "Axis" truck is a pretty damn good all around truck. ACE are made in China but I still choose them because they grind way smoother, longer, and turn 10000x better than Indy's. The bending issue and axle slip was fixed with their redesigns, and even before I never had issues with the axles. The whole "ride the best" bro attitude is juvenile. Everyone had different needs. For street, Thunder and Venture are definitely better performing trucks than Indy. Fuck, even Theeve and Krux perform better on street too. Indy isn't the ONLY truck, shut up already. Not saying it's a bad truck, but it's not "the best". There is no "best" truck. Period.

I love the Orion branch of Tracker, I heard they're similar to the axis model. Great geometry, a mid height truck but I never had a problem with wheelbite and I skate my trucks loose. The huge turn off from them was their manufacturing inconsistencies, the axle nuts were never snug fitting causing them to loosen or tighten in a session. They'll replace them no problem but I want to skate not make trips to the post office. Really wish Orion would correct this issue, they have a really good truck.

Seems like you agree for the most part. Indy's can certainly skate street fine, but I'm just saying they aren't the ONLY truck for everything like a lot of people make them out to be. Indy's are the classic for pools and tranny, but either way ACE has Indy beat in everything.

Orion is Tracker, it's the Tracker Axis with just a different name on it and some colors and a logo on the hanger. I've skated the raw Axis, not Orion, and it was a solid truck. No complaints but it is a pretty ugly truck.

I have always skated Indy's but have recently tried Tracker Darts and Orion's and really like both of them.

I'm confused, I'm alone, it's Saturday night and I have no pants on

Z-Rollers!! I never actually had them but they look like they would be fun to mess around on.

U inspired me to do a mix up too. I went with an orion base plate (tracker company lol), and indy 11 hanger. After swapping around a few sets of bushings I decided to go with the bones mediums, oh man, they're dreamy. They're quick to respond but have a deep surfy feel not squirly like thunders.

Interesting. Watch your pivot bushing. With different geometry of the different pieces it may wear out faster. Ace and Indy have nearly the same geometry. Ace = Indy Stage II.

I remember those "anti" stickers tracker made. Ugh. Those were the WORST trucks! I had the axles slip out on all 3 pairs i had b4 finally being able to afford my own new Indy's. Tracker were heavy AF too! We teased kids riding em, calling em Packer trucks, short for "fudge-packer"-hey, we were dumb punk rock kids. Man, only thing heavier back then was orig Thunders. I HATED ollies on those! But had to admit, once i switched back to my Indys, i could finally ollie a hydrant!(my personal yardstick for greatness, that and ollieing up onto the mall rail to slide it! 1991, yeah!😈) Was like training for the moon or something! GROSSO! DO A LOVE LETTER TO RAY BARBEE FOR CHRISSAKES! AND ONE ABOUT BANDS WHO PUT OUT DECKS, SHITTY OR GREAT BOARDS! (Old a$$ Misfits coffin deck, anyone?)

Early trackers were great . At that time indys weren't man enough to last . I needed trucks that wouldnt break or wear out in a few weeks . My first pair of trackers lasted two years of almost daily street skating . Indy didn't make a sturdy truck until the stage V . Trackers improved again after a shitty patch ; the company had changed ownership more than once and was finally bought by skaters . Too heavy ? Try harder ! Ollies and a lot of modern street tricks were invented on Trackers . They worked .

i think we need a letter to Duane. judging by his instagram posts and how he looked at the Pool Party he isn't right. we need a letter to show how punk and rad he was.
