Mate backing trailers come with experience it just gets easier and easier. I dragged a set of triples east to west and back again then on the last trip to Townsville I was braking them up outside of town and in front of 6 other drivers absolutely kooked backing a single and the dolly 🤦‍♂️. You should ask if you're allowed to take the young man with you. Although I guess you'd need a day trip or an overnighter and back to make it possible. I used to love going in the truck with my dad when I was young, best memories I have I reckon. Watsons are good for giving people with no experience a go. I went to work for them in Derrimut at one point, I had no semi experience or anything. I only wanted to do local though and they wanted 14 hours everyday, so factoring in travel times etc it would have been a 16 hour day everyday from when I left home and got back again, just wasn't worth it for me.

Im not a truck driver. When you mention "road trains", are they what we know as "B Triples" in Victoria that have a 3rd trailer connected to the 2nd on a turntable? I've seen road trains that are a set of dog trailers with wheels at each end they connect through a draw bar and hitch. I've seen them in outback NSW and QLD and signs restricting where they can drive.

Correct mate there are rubber stops on both the docks and the back of our trailers 👍

Nice video always nice seeing cabovers as here in the west it's just conventionals but man, in Australia even conventionals look bad ass. Love seeing those Mack's superliners or the KW-K200 such a majestic and respect commanding trucks. Would be nice if they were manual gearbox, I don't trust automatic in big trucks and like you sai they ain't smart😏😉. Cheers and blessings mate!

It always baffles me how they don’t sell our models over there mate! Obviously a different market and economy but these k200 are awesome trucks wish you guys had them 👍

@@crossfamilytrucking yeah would sure be a beautiful sight seeing those going down the hill/mountains, depending the country your in. Sure would love to hear a straight pipe k200 roaring down a mountain called la (Rumorosa) in Mexico. Or rolling down the Rockies in the US! But we got to settle with the lame Volvo's or cascadia 🙁 on this side! Cheers matey!!
