I'm a driver. I can sympathize with the stress of that type of situation. I've been in some tight spots myself. Your brain is fucked for the rest of the day. You feel like the whole world is watching and judging you. I commend the driver for remaining composed and doing his best.

He could've swung a little wider but with his tandems that far forward he probably was worried his tail swing would clip the cars parked/passing on the other side. On the other hand Western Express doesn't have the best rep. for hiring the best. Edit: Everything looks easier looking down on it, it's a different perspective in that seat. It's a lot you can't see.

This happened to me once in the Bronx. My GPS told me to get off the highway at the wrong exit, and the fun immediately began. And for extra spice and excitement, I was in a commercial area. I almost took out a street lamp making a left turn. I had to get out and put my tandems all the way up in order to make the turn. Folks, DO NOT EVER use Co-Pilot as your trucking GPS. Nothing but garbage. I can't tell you how many times it has put me in stressful situations.

This is where you have to enter your bubble and block out everything and everyone that’s interfering with your focus. I’m getting out of my truck and locking it, finding the owner of the car illegally parked on the corner and ask him to move, or we can wait until the police come with a tow truck 😅

@@Gmuzac12 yeah welcome to New England, Pennsylvania and Jersey. Any street that doesn't have a route number is damn near a no go. And even some of those route you off of the road because of a low bridge ahead.

Remember to all driver from first year to 30 years this can happen to any one... But the same way to deal with this plan ahead always plan ahead... Used a 60 dollar map and trucker gps with satellite view or a tablet Google satellite view... Before entering a city or a place that you ain't sure...

That's an extremely difficult turn, when there's no parked cars. That's an impossible turn when there is parked cars lol. If he had a 48ft trailer then mayyybe he could of made this turn if he swung his trailer out far enough. But with a full 53fter, this was impossible from the start. The fact that he was able to back up enough and pull forward was the safe and smart way of doing it. Cause some drivers would still be there trying to making this turn, clippin cars in the process.

  • @erickgomez1798

He didn’t swing wide enough to make that turn, that was all the problem.
