Love winter camping. We have had tons of snow here in southern Minnesota. My favorite winter meal is grilled cheese and tomato soup. My mother used to make it all the time. I like my grilled cheese with ketchup. Lol. Great videos Kurt. Your son will remember these camping trips his whole life.

Just eat the burnt ones,buddy.they are real good tasting,might look overdone but you are camping.what the heck.you need some water resistant outerwear so everything is not wet when you go in.

Dont worry just scrape off the black stuff lol nice video again.

Good time

My grilled cheese trick is once you cook the first two sandwiches you turn down the flame a little. The pan is hot by then so the bread toasts quicker. Then once they are cooked you pull them apart and put a couple pieces of cooked bacon inside, some super thinly sliced lettuce, close it back up and yum! Beautiful scenery. peace

Here's a good idea for grilled cheese.Butter the bread on both sides.more cheese and flatten the sandwich until the comes out side.cook until slightly burnt only slightly burnt.grill bread both sides

You fixed one of my favorite meals with the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Those extra crispy sandwiches are one of my favorites. Seems that those grilled sandwiches are like pancakes. The first couple of them off the the grill are always a little crispy. Those are for my dog and she knows it. We have some pie and sandwich irons for making toasted pies and sandwiches on the fireplace and campfire, they work great. That dog you run across looked like a bird dog. May have got loose and decided to go hunting. Had a couple beagle hounds that at the least bit of snow they seemed to get out of the pen and went hunting. The neighbor said he used to follow them around and got some rabbits with them and then would send them home. Never figured out if he was joking or not. Glad to everyone was back up and going. I am a county plow driver in Mn the county you bought your camper in I love my job year round but I love plowing snow we only got 4 inches out of this storm keep the snow coming i love it you would think after 23 years I would grow out of it but I guess it is like trucking we don't quit and just ask for more have a great day be safe.

Kurt I love the camping videos you look like you have a great setup there. But for the love of everything that is holy please don't buy plastic cheese ever again. Maybe I'm just a cheese snob but plastic wrapped cheese usually tastes like the plastic it was wrapped in. Sargento, Crystal Farms, even Kraft produce delicious sliced cheese that isn't encased in individual plastic wrappers. May I suggest a Smoked Cheddar and Gouda combination the next time you burn a grilled cheese sandwich.

Sometimes the grilled cheese sandwich ends up Cajun-style, no worries. As for winter, I have had my share of snow/ice driving for this year. I left USA on 17 January and will be 13 timezones east and 30° closer to the equator until 16 February.

You can scrape off the burnt! It's still delicious!! Just use the back of the spoon! Also, help the dog!

Hell yeah tomato soup made with milk instead of water and toasted cheese. Blast from the past. Since the kids have all moved out we have rediscovered this. Quick easy and fills ya up on a cold winter night. We got close to 14” of snow right after thanksgiving here. That’s a lot of snow in one dump.

For that "making it pretty" remark I would have given him one of those crispy sandwiches! Milk made with tomato soup is the best. Last time made with water it tasted like hot tomato juice!

His truck is pretty much paid off (minus the last round of repairs). As far as him not wanting to run for current rates, I don't blame him.. freight rates have not been keeping up with costs (fuel, insurance and repair costs) for well over 2 years now..
