The turret gets tossed when the ammunition of the tank explodes. Many of these tanks have an automated loader for the shells, which are arranged in a circle around the periphery of the turret. There is no separation of the ammunition from the crew,- so when the ammunition explodes, they have no protection.

It s horrific to see the damage done to the tanks n soldiers inside. However, it s the right of Ukrainian government to defend itself against the enemy.

As per your example, small part of the reason why Russia pulled out of Afghanistan in the end was the Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers efforts. Considering estimates show more deaths here in 1 month than in that 9 year conflict, things should move way faster even with all the propaganda.

In the past the Russian T-80 tank held the nickname 'Flying Tank' due to it's speed. Now we see it is called a 'Flying Tank' because when you hit it with an anti-tank round, parts of it go flying off in all directions!!!

@@sidghurye it is caused by having all the ammo stuffed under the turret floor to feed the autoloader. Any hit from above the turret and many hits through the sides will hit the ammo causing a catastrophic explosion. By contrast on resent western tanks the ammo is isolated and at least in the case of the US M1 there is a door that automatically closes between the turret and ammo in the back of the turret, and hatches above the ammo to vent the explosion. The T-14 Armata puts all the crew in the hull so the tank just launches the turret but doesn't kill the crew.

@@sidghurye If you're referring to the T-14 Armata, well... None. They only have a few of them, they have yet to be mass produced. They have not been seen in this war so far.

The US lost equipment in the Iraq war but most of it was to 500-600lbs of buried explosives. Same in Afghanistan. Russians are being completely defeated in open battle..

In the russian tanks the ammunition is under the turret. The moment the turret is hit the ammo catches fire and kills all inside.That's why the destroyed russian tanks have their turrets popped off . They did it in order to lower the profile of the tank, but it is not the 70's anymore. There is no tank2tank battle. They are get destroyed from the top not the front

Haste the only modern equipment they have is that Iskander and some of their other modern missiles and to some extent the Ka 52 attack helicopter. I say to some extent because it cannot defeat the Star Streak missiles.The others it can cope up with so it is a partial success. That's about it,no effective Electronic countermeasures,no effective tanks or convoy protection,no modern anti drone systems,the convoys are vulnerable to even Turkish drones and other drones,no effective Electronic jamming systems. One would have expected heavy saturation using Electronic countermeasures systems and drone jamming systems including some revolutionary systems. Also they used poor military tactics,attacked too thinly over a huge front ,no mass concentration. Their number of precision guided munitions are too few,they are using mainly non precision munitions.

Please consider. I am Ukrainian yet we prefare it this way as if Russians are not killed we get slaughtered, killed, robbed, raped, kidnapped etc whatever criminals are capable. There were some actual criminals released by Russian government from prisons in order to cover military losses yet illegal approach is dominant in Russian army for now. That same tactics was used in 2014 yet civilians have managed to fight back pro-Russian gangs. As for now that horde reminds middle ages with all disadvantages that civilians may face.

It isn't just the conscripts. It's all off them. When your command sends you into hopeless slaughter using the same failed tactics again and again and again it don't matter how much training of doing the wrong thing you have.

Even the metal armor of the tank got perished from the attack but the piece of paper was untouched 😂

A long time before this 2022 war started Ukraine's agreed that donbas could hold its own election on being independent on the proviso that Russia withdraw their troops so a free and fair election could be held. Russia refused, why did they do this?:perhaps they were scared of a true free and fair election??

An American tank is also much bigger and heavier. 80 to 90 tons while the russian tanks are around 40 tons.

@@craiglawless8265 ну джавелины одни из самых дорогих ПТРК в мире с системой "выстрелил-забыл", тоесть достаточно навести на цель и нажать спусковой крючек,все,ракета летит в небо и падает сверху танка,где как правило нет брони и плохо отрабатывает КАЗ,что практически 100% шанс подбить танк. Так что да, там даже школьник с них может быть "ногибатором",просто 1 выстрел стоит гдето пол ляма баксов, так что без "спонсорства" обычными дешовыми рпг много бы не навоевали.

some blue electrical tape will do a trick

the guns on those blasted turrets look like they might still be usable if they were to cut them off and mount them onto a towed device. They might be able to use them for IDF or fixed emplacements. It would take a lot of welding I think, but it's doable.

Engine manuals have a better shield than the personnel? 🤔
