Troy has to be one of the most underrated QBs of all time. Never gets discussed when all-time greats come up, but he belongs in the conversation.

Exactly the opposite! Only one 20 TD season and pedestrian completion %. He was just fortunate to play on a loaded team.

@pl1532 Troy was probably the greatest leader in NFL history. Especially after Jimmy left. That 90s team was filled with a ton of characters and personalities. And he was the one who had to step up and be the so called bad guy and lift everyone up because Barry Switzer was going to. And pedestrian completion %? He had the 2nd highest % of anyone who played the entirety of the 90s. Maybe you weren't around in the 90s but running the ball was still king. And Dallas had one of the best to ever do it. It wasnt til got closer to the 00s that the passing game became the primary focus. Everyone who knew anything about football and was around the game says Aikman was just about the most accurate qb theres ever been

Troy has always been a class act. I always had respect for that serious look in his eyes when he was playing the game, and his facial expression hardly every change whether he was winning a game or losing a game. I have great respect for the football player he was. He is a general as a leader and a warrior as a player.

Dan always has the best interviews and here is yet another one with Troy! “THE TRIPLETS” what a joy it was to watch the Cowboys every week with Troy, Michael and Emit…! I was able to attend a game or two in person when I lived in Dallas at the old stadium. They were something to see..and what an experience! Those were GREAT Football days….! Thanks Dan and Troy…great interview…! Now I gotta go to the store for some “8”……✌️. Thanks to all those who served and paid the ultimate price for our country. Have a safe Memorial Day everyone…and please remember what Memorial Day is about..🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸‼️

Troy Aikman was a great NFL QB and has the rings to prove it. In my opinion John Elway was The GOAT, rings mean nothing to me) but I really admired Aikman, Marino, Kelly and Moon. When these guys played, DEs LBs, and many a safety some violently bad dudes. Lawrence Taylor was fearsome. In my opinion THE most fearsome player was Bears LB Wilbur Marshall. He didn't get the credit he deserved because that 85 Bears team had Walter "Sweetness" Payton , The Fridge. The QBs who "survived" this era's defensive football are incredible.

Not in favor of changing the kick off rule, but at this point they should just place it at the 20 after a score ... new rule is basically that (+5 yds) dressed up as an actual play

@@johnbrowntheprophet I’m not a cowboy fan, but if you have followed NFL football for several decades, Emmitt Smith is not considered better than the guys I mentioned. Those who analyze the game and the media who covers it has never considered ES as top of of top RBs. He played 20 years behind a great OL, that’s why he has the Yards record, he’s Cal Ripken. He played several more years than the great RBs, if any of the guys I mentioned, + OJ, Peterson, Dickerson and about 10 other guys played 20 seasons, they would have 5k more yards than him.

Just because he wasn’t as physically gifted as other running backs doesn’t lessen his accomplishments or his position amongst the greats. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Physical superiority is only one part of the equation. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Tom Brady, Joe Montana, and Peyton Manning weren’t great physical specimens, but they’re all Top Five quarterbacks no matter how you rank them. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Along with Terry Bradshaw, Aikman is one of the most overrated QB’s of all time. Had only one 20 TD seasons and completion % was nothing to brag about. Both played on loaded teams that almost any mid level QB would have won multiple SB’s with.

Yeah right... Aikman spanked every top QB in his era. --- And I'm pretty sure 3 rings gets you automatic access, as a QB (who happened to play in the toughest division & conference of his time, and was winningest QB of the 90's) WTF more do you want? Still pretty rare air that QB sits in. But oh, yeah... Simms should be in.

Overrated! SB wins are very deceiving when comparing QB's because the rest of the team doesn't get any credit. Aikman played on a loaded team. Aikman had only one 20 TD season, pedestrian completion %, 165 TD-141 INT. If Aikman, Brady or Bradshaw played for the Lions=zero SB's. If Marino, Warren Moon or Favre played on those teams, they also would have won multiple SB's. SB wins are not a measure of greatness for one player in a team sport like football, but rather a measure of the collective greatness of the team.
