As a long time Royals fan I was in college in Kansas City during the height of the Bo Knows hysteria and he sure made it a great time to be a baseball fan in the KC. Have many fond memories of grabbing cheap left field general admission tickets - just to have a front row seat to the Bo show.

I saw Bo break a bat over his knee at Tiger Stadium. In person the guy is huge.

I’d read a book on UNLV and Tark. Maybe because I grew up in L.A. during Tark’s glory days at Long Beach State and UNLV, and at least 3 guys from my high school played at UNLV.

My book ideas for Jeff: 1980s 49ers, 1980s Raiders, Terrell Owens, Allen Iverson, Mike Tyson, Bernard Hopkins, Lennox Lewis, the 1990s Bills, John Elway, and the 1980s Broncos. If only there were enough living people to talk about the 1970s Steelers. Then again, there's Terry Bradshaw and Tony Dungy.

I would love to see a well written book about the 1970s Steelers. Joe Greene, Jack Lambert, Jack Ham, Rocky Bleier, Mel Blount, Lynn Swann and John Stallworth are all still around too. Lots of 70s pop culture cross-over and tragedy (Mike Webster).

I would certainly be interested in a deep dive into all those ideas except T.O. (Not all that compelling a personality IMO. All-time great WR tho) Lennox Lewis (same) Tyson (what book, doc, or film hasn't been made about Tyson at this point?) or Iverson (feel like I know all I need to know about A.I. but would probably be a best seller)

Would enjoy reading a book deep diving on subjects like: Len Bias, 1980's Georgetown, 1970's Cowboys, Larry Bird, Isiah Thomas, Michael Irvin, Charles Hailey, 1960's Packers, Reggie White, Rocky Marciano

Bo's first hit was proceeded by a foulball that produced a standing ovation. He didn't just beat the ball hit to 2nd base, he was 5 steps past 1B by the time the ball got there

My first pro baseball game was at the Kingdome. Royals v Mariners during the Griffey era. The thing I most remember is Bo striking out 4 times and how huge Bo looked from the bleachers.

I dont know why writers make unauthorized books, like are you that desperate for money and fame and you will write book about someone who dont want it...

So just let everyone tell their story and thats it???? Unauthorized books are how you drill down and get the good and the bad of someone. Authorized books are usually how they want to be remembered and not necessarily how they should be remembered.
