I'm sure I don't fit in with the fly fishing crowd - I was lacking a Subaru, chest waders and a fly rod. I did put the hammer down on trout though for never doing it before!

This is an ignorant comment. Fishing is supposed to be for fun and for everyone. Hating on someone else no matter there experience level or gear is disgusting.

Awesome man! I'm heading to Estes in the morning to do some truck camping, fishing, and filming! Great to see the fishing is good!

I was hoping to catch one or two as the water was like 8 inches to a foot most places but for winging it my first time trout fishing -- was a lot of fun and yeah the scenery was awesome

Was really pretty, woke up the morning we left with an elk in the parking lot. Gorgeous -- but after 4 days I need the flat land again lol

Maybe, honestly your best bet is to get a couple of really small shallow diving lures like 1" long or small spinners (mepps size 1 or 2 black fury) and you should be golden - they hammer those.

going august 19 for a week coming from wisconsin i cant wait to catch some trout! hiking, the scenery and fishing! cant forget the breweries though

what river was this in the park?

This was along the resorts on the fall river, I believe you have to stay there to fish those spots but not 100% sure

I think your "albino trout" may have actually been a kokanee salmon.

I think they call it a Golden Rainbow -- it's a strain of rainbow trout

Bro you cant have trout out of the water for longer then 15 sec at a time cuz it will damage there gils so that why youre getting a thumps down.
