    @@RenogySolar this is word for word the same response I got above. Including the "Hi Paul". And that's how much they care they can't even be bothered to write a response but instead cut and paste the same response over and over again. And absolute bullshit company with non-existent customer service who thinks you're so stupid you won't notice how much they don't care.

    Mine was working fine, but it will not charge batteries that are below 12.3v anything below that the controller goes haywire, is there anything in the settings to stop this happening or is it a fault with the controller. When you plug it onto a low battery the voltage on the controller goes up then back down to zero then goes up and then down again and just keeps doing this, so I've had to turn my generator on to get juice into the batteries before I can connect the controller, this isn't right so I'd appreciate some help thank you.

    @@RenogySolar I can tell how much you care by the fact that you called me Paul. Who the hell is Paul? You people are incredibly stupid and insensitive. I did in fact submit a ticket. That was approximately 4 weeks ago and after more than a dozen emails back and forth I still don't have answers to my questions only to the ones that your foreign customer service representative sent in. You see they interpret what you say even though they don't speak the language and then forward that on to a tech who then responds to their question and then they interpret the answer and forward that back to you and it never is the answer to the actual question that you tried to ask. YOU HAVE NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT AT ALL. YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS ONCE YOU HAVE THEIR MONEY.

    @@RenogySolar I want to thank you for proving my point. It only took 2 months to answer that. You people are completely ignorant about what it takes to keep a customer. Just putting the word Renogy in my mouth makes me want to vomit. I live completely off grid. I have no electricity without the solar system. I have no water without electricity. I don't need your help today, I needed it months ago and you were nowhere to be found. You took my money and ran to the hills completely ignoring my needs. People ask me about solar all the time believe me, I tell them to never do business with you.

    What does it mean when my 40a solar controller displays PV overload. It comes and goes every few minutes. Today is partly cloudy day PV is around 76-80v Amp is around 3 to 7 amps Incoming watts is between 300 to 550 watts. It stopped doing it for last hour or so. Any ideas?

  • @RenogySolar

    @RenogySolar

    Жыл бұрын

    If you are using a 12V battery, the maximum PV input for the RVR40 is only 520W. The description you mentioned states that sometimes it exceeds 550W, so it is normal for the controller to trigger an alarm. The devices will continue to operate once the power drops. However, if you are using a 24V battery, further analysis is needed based on the video. If possible, please contact us via www.renogy.com/contact-us, and we will have our professional technical support team analyze the situation for you.

    @@RenogySolar I see. Im using 3x 12v/100ah LFP in parallel. Originally, I had 2x 180w in series with Rich solar 20a. I've recently added 4x 180w solar panels in series with Renogy 40a BT. With 2 separate solar controllers in tandem charging the batteries. The Victron battery monitor was seeing 950w peak. Today, I was home all day so I spent some time monitoring the charging stats. That's why I saw the error message. Normally I'm not home on weekends. Thank you for the info.
