    Back then it was a complete disaster, but now it's become the most modern operational transport system in the country, DMRC has proved once again why they consider the world-class in any project execution despite getting the damaged wreck they had implemented it successfully. Hats off.

    I travelled by this from Airport to Rohini, and the total cost came out to be Rs 100 with 2 interchanges. Reached Rohini within 1 hour. Seems to be convenient and cheap.

    I used to travel daily from dwarka to aerocity and the experience was way too good although the travel pass was very expensive when it was under reliance but once DMRC took the charge they made it more affordable after few years.

    I travel in the Airport Express Line daily and it is just amazing. I track the speed as well and it does reach it's rated 120 kmph speed in certain sections. It is truly an engineering marvel now. Fast and affordable.

    I have travelled on this line multiple times. It is really a wonderful facility to have for people getting down by flight and catching a train to their onward journey. Very posh and fast.

    Such airport express metro should be in every city with airport, cuz the distance between airport and city centre Isbt and raiwaystation is just way too far in any city and taxi walas take alot, such metros would be an awesome assest to infrastructure.

    I think not expanding this line to gurugram is a missed opportunity. It can decongest the Yellow line and Provide a faster alternative between Delhi and Gurugram

    I travel in the airport express daily to commute to college and this line is just awsm, from dhuala kuan to shivaji in exactly 5 mins which usually take 40-50 min in normal metro, only thing is it's not connected with metro system so we have to tap card again to use this line....

Haan ab kuchh log boleinge poori video toh dekh leta comment krne se phle, vo past ki baat kr rha hai! But aisa clickbait thumbnail dega toh bhot se log bina video dekhe comment kareinge, mai unki feelings express kr rha hu!     @@Abhinay_Singh0 Because it is now completely changed (like 360 degree makeover), With 110 kmph of speed, running around the airport and covering the distance in less than 20 mins, and the only functional airport metro in the country, running smoothly without much noise and if you put a glass at the window when its running on maximum speed and do a glass shake test, the glass won't shake, smooth and fast acceleration and deceleration, will soon be extended to jewar airport of Noida. And at present, its occupancy is rising faster than any other metro line in Delhi and from a flop metro, it has became a hit metro. Just travel in this metro and you'll get a world class experience and you'll yourself say it is now national pride rather than national shame!

    @@aritramal5036 Galat information mat likh. Covid delay nehi tha. Reliance saw that there was no demand in the corridor, and instead of trying to revive operations, they just gave up. DMRC stepped in, reduced fares, increased line speed. Reliance blamed DMRC for substandard track, pillars for their delays and failures. The fun fact is they got awarded a compensation of Rs 4800 Cr. The court correctly did not go into the merits of the case, they just interpreted the contract, which was heavily loaded in favour of Reliance.

    There is a huge scope of extending aiport line to red line. Right now from dwarka, Blue line to red line or ghaziabad connectivity is tool far and too slow. It should be extended to red line at least and probably even further to some station in pink line and one of the RRTS stations.

    @@amiydv You have to walk a lot as well. and I want to connect Ghaziabad with rapid airport line. Pink line again takes very long. and Meerut people will get direct acces to airport with just one change with connectivity to RRTS.

    I guess there is same kind of probem with mumbai metro line 7....the speed on L7 is too slow around (40) whereas L2 runs on MAX speed.....which shows that there are some structrual issues with L7 which should be rectified ASAP!!!!

    Delhi Airport should be connected with one of the main lines of delhi metro, for ex Imagine if Blue line were to end on IGI instead of dwarka, so many people could directly come to airport from metro without needing to change even once. In under construction mumbai metro, line 3 and line 7 are connected to CSM airport which is better planning IMO than Delhi metro

    Airport line is success now. Many people travel daily including me, not just for airport but traveling to dwarka. Dmrc slashed fares 2 time by 60 and 50%, now it is best mode to reach dwarka and airport

    it was Rs250 for Station to Airport, you had to wait 20 mins if you missed the train and the journey took 30 mins. A shared taxi would be cheaper and easier, this metro made no sense.

    If we just remove Some areas of Delhi like chandni chowk , pahadganj , sadarbazar and areas nearby railways stations. Delhi is the most beautiful city in india and as well as most beautiful capital in asia . Even don't have Any skyscraper gives delhi a different Tier-1 look than other west and their west cooy cities.

    I used to use magenta line extensively to travel to terminal 1 but never the orange line since it didn't interchange with magenta which was strange since lines do cross So never got to ride metro to terminal 2 and 3

    for people who dont understand why corruption was rampant in infra projects in early years is we did not audited physical infrastructure by independent auditors ie chartered accountants, before 2010's chartered accountants were not required to audit on ground activity of materials and work done in there audit reports which were changed in 2010 in a ca amendment bill, now days all companies have to do internal audits checked by auditors and ca now check on ground what work in done and how the funds are used and also a big part is rera inspections giving enough professional skills to auditors to verify infra work properly, before this the audit and inspection was done by gov servants which we know are corrupt af

    Biggest problem with this is its timing.. All Vande Bharat and Shatabadi starts early morning and this train only starts 4 it should start at 2 or 3 am

    Airport line is only useful for going to NDLS from airport or vice versa. its impractical for any other purpose. it has poor connectivity to other metro lines. then it could have been a good line. its only good for people who want to go to CP from dwarka sec 11,10 ,9 21. you literally can't go anywhere. and the person who designed the pink link connection station must have been a fitness freak. absolute garbage.
