Trouble On My Mind (Fretless Fairbanks Special #4 Banjo)
I learned this song from Clifton Hicks. Apparently, Lynchburg lay in Moore County which was a dry county hence the whippings! It was pretty stormy as I recorded and the cicadas were having a great time being as loud as possible!
I'm playing my Fairbanks Special #4 Fretless Conversion Banjo from Intermountain Banjo.

Lmao factsss. And it's a masterpiece, naturally. No pun intended.
looking like a god fearing christian doing his prayers to avoid god's wrath as the storm is approching
This song is so much more raw and genuine with the environmental ambience in my opinion, this is beautiful Knox
I love this song with all the environmental noise. Suits it well :)
Love your stuff! Glad to see your still playing and sharing!!!
what a jam. just said to my wife "ooh my banjo guy uploaded a new song" and realizing i call you "my banjo guy" instead of your name made me laugh

Love that thunder roll in the background -- if lightning don't kill me I'll live a long time 😂
I think about this video often.
you're spoiling us with two songs in one day, but hey I'm not complaining

We got that storm here in New York at 3AM and it was legitimately the most chaotic storm I've seen in a while.

Phewww the thunder with your banjo playing! So powerful
Why can't I like twice KZread?!
😅. I like those accented strikes (ta-DA ta-DA- with the pull offs?) or whatever you call that move - I want to try that.

I don't know what to call it but I learned the left hand pulloffs as the "the Kentucky Double Shuffle" from Clifton Hicks via Buell Kazee

The Cicadas have a good sense of rhythm lol
I don't know what's about this instrument, that it looks simple and difficult at the same time. Only I'm sure, it makes great atmosphere in right hands!

Are those nylon cords like on your other fretless banjo? They look like regular steel cords but I think I heard you say that you liked nylon cords on your banjo talk
