I’m in Ormond Beach (next to Daytona). We got HAMMERED by Ian, as it sat on top of us for 12 hours due to a cold front. This is far less powerful, which is a relief. It will also be out of here by tomorrow afternoon/evening. I feel so bad for those who are still dealing with flooding, like those on the St. John’s River. Bottom line is, we are ready for hurricanes to go away for a while!

The “Treasure Coast” is not on the east t coast of Florida but on the west coast long the Tampa Bay, Pinellas County GulfCoast. Hence the Gasparilla Parade in Tampa and Treasure Island in Pinellas county

I am by Tampa, it all depends on how quickly the storm dissipates, slows down, before it reaches us. Right now at 6pm it is gusty and steady winds. Morning will tell but this seems to be a slow moving storm.

Tornadoes are way more powerful and destructive in intensity but hurricanes damage wilder areas. I think tornados are crazier

@@WoundedWarrior2012 well some say this is just gaia/earth healing sense there's been just alot more hurricanes within these past few yrs especially during the whole pandemic age Some say it could be something else and if the knowledge to this something else is being mess used that could be building up bad karma for them as well some others say it can also be a sign it's time to move from something so primative as fossil fuels, and last which it could be a combination of all these things to a certain extent it could be something from outside the planet causing it as well. It would be ignorant to deny the fact that weather conditions have been far more abnormal these past few yrs and I'm one that believes it goes far more deeply than some religious matter
