TROPHY FISHING IN ONTARIO'S FAR NORTH
In September of 2021 my crew and I flew into Blackbirch Lake, a remote outpost camp operated by Grey Wood Outfitter's in Nakina, Ontario. Situated roughly 180 km's north of Nakina and part of the Winisk River watershed, Blackbirch is currently the northern most operating single cabin outpost camp in the province. It's barely been fished for many years and has recently been renovated by the new owners and now offers visiting anglers a truly remarkable trophy fishing experience!

amazing practice of fishing
Thanks for giving the details of where you are finding the fish, the lures you are using, and why the fish are where they are. It helps for a terrible fisherman like me.
Amazing fishing - both quality and size!
Love these videos. I get sucked into the fish after fish, Mike's tips and Joe's jokes. Hope we see some videos from that trip with your son.
Remind me what the white lures you are using for the Walleye.
Hi Mike. My group and I are heading to Blackbirch in August of 2022. I'm also a fan of the Doctor spoons. What size are you throwing?
Hey, are you guys using any special line or leadees or anything

Also after a long hard fight, help revive the fish before releasing.
Do you ever catch a fish that isn’t thick or chuncky? Time for some new adjectives
Too many vertical holds
Get yourself a fish grabber and quit trying to land northerns with your bare hands. The last thing you want on a flyin is a hook buried in your hand.
