Our son in law who is a British serving soldier showed us how he polished his boots although my husband never quite achieved the same high level.

God bless him Christine. Give him my regards.
Watching this during COVID19, April 2021. Much appreciated, from the Fiji Islands, God bless our gracious Queen.
This was the first year that His Late Royal Highness, The Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, rode in the carriage with Her Late Majesty, rather than on horseback.
3:57 We need drill sergeants majors like him again nowadays. He would be dissappointed seeing todays trooping

Hi, thanks for uploading this video. I appreciate that you fulfill everyone’s wishes but do you have Trooping the Colour 2009

Nope
Is it my imagination ? It seems that the further back you go the drill was tighter, more energetic and more heart and soul . This parade looks like everyone is exhausted. They don't seem to believe in it anymore.

For one thing, the No.2s back then actually fit the soldiers properly, as opposed to the present FAD crap that looks too loose and too long on practically everybody.
Hi do you have Trooping the colour 1989

Nope
Is it a Grenadier Guard thing for the RSM to wear a cream colour tie with the No.2s? Other Guard regiment RSM don't seem to wear the same tie.
Do you have the flypast from 2003

Interesting only 3 drum majors, wonder how five bands got to Horse Guards with only 3 drum majors.

@@Coldstreamer17 I have seen them march without drum majors many times. But since it's Trooping the Colour one would think they would have one with each band. It's not like they could get lost on their way to Horse Guards lol

@@delvinrodriguez3341The remaining 2 bands were lead by a Household Division Drum Major and a Drum Sergeant. For example Steve Staite at the time would have lead on of the bands to Horseguards and after that he would bail out. On parade were 2 battalion Drum Majors plus the Senior Drum Major.

@@memphis6420 Thanks! Finally someone has given me an answer! Instead of telling me that Bands can march without a DM, like I was suggesting they'd get lost on their way to Horse Guards Parade and end up at Heathrow Airport! 😄 Thanks again!
