Trompe l’oeil panels are being installed on the Centre Block as part of the building’s ongoing rehabilitation work. Trompe l’oeil stands for “trick of the eye.” These panels will show a realistic image of the Centre Block. The decorative tarps will cover the scaffolding installed around the building as crews perform important exterior building work and masonry restoration. It will protect workers from the elements while also improving the visual experience for visitors.
