I was sitting here trying to think if I'm the same because I grew up poor too and realised... I am currently working my way through *two* foundations I don't like (one that was given to me for free) by mixing them together and pretending I like them. Because I can't throw them away 😂 I also just finished an entire tube of mascara I hated, after months of being pissed off at it, and breathed a sigh of relief when it was done. Yeah I guess I can relate...

watching trixie stop to listen to other people in the building is literally amazing. it reminds me of college kids getting ready to go out for the night and being annoyed about how loud each others music is but then still having the best time with eachother when they go out

Spoiler Alert: Trixie completely forgot that some lines where cut during the Canberra show until Katya mentioned it on stage. It was hilarious.

I really love the effort that trixie puts into her videos. She will be doing 700 othef projects and filming on the road and still act cool as a cucumber and give us funny videos. She's a pioneer in our community! Bringing camp to the masses!

@@maddymaree2684 Katrina Maree did a great video on it comparing US vs Aus prices for the same items. The foundations example $9.90 us, 34.95 aus, brush set 10.99 us, $47.50 etc etc and I found those prices to be almost the exactly the same from where I live (not in a city). I guess it depends where you shop and if you are lucky to have access tow Sephora or something...but even still, drugstore or otherwise most foundations are over $40, concealers are $21-30+ depending on brand unless you snag a sale (in my experience)

I do this fun thing were I work out how many hours it would take to earn the cost of an item ( make-up) using that country's minimum wage and well... most of the time it works out about even. But then us Aussies get screwed with postage

I'm 25 and my favorite reno shows (for a couple years now) are the historical house restoration ones especially when they go into the history of the house/land and rebuild them using original techniques/materials. LOVED keeping up with Trixie Motel every week I'm so proud of you guys
