@@bcan no. For example this version of the song is in drop C# so a little lower than the recorded one, and they use this as their actual live/studio tuning on most of their songs. The original version and the remastered is a semitone higher

***** C'mon .it's a matter to be frank and impartial, and with talents like trivium you can't say they can't play! It's incredible how heafy cowrote,played and sang an album like ascendancy at 19 years old...moreover you can't say it's a bad album,on the contrary it is well written...i simply don't like their style but this does not mean i HAVE to throw shit on them

Sam Gomez I wholeheartedly disagree. In waves was probably their 2nd or third best album after ascendency, and they have finally found a way to sing cleanly without forcing it like the crusade. They have evolved and have refused to stay stagnant in writing the same shit over and over again. Music is subjective, but these guys can clearly write music with many different elements, and I appreciate the evolution. Some of my other favorite bands haven't evolved and have fallen off because of it.

tdbt757 Pretty decent lyrics for metalcore. It did help set them apart from the whiny masses back then.

My opinion - I think this is their best song. May not be the most technical, not the most screams or whatever, but for me it's just got such a beautiful sound and some great melodies in there which make it #1! The chorus is definitely the best I've heard, too. My opinion though ;)

You could here the potential they had here at such a young age. 20 years later & still playing live. Matt actually pays the band,crew etc he gets more from streaming.

Its always peculiar coming back to these videos, the chapman studio sessions specifically, to truly show how fucking talented everyone in this band is. All of em just crush it

i love how the vocal swaps between Matt and Corey sound just as if they were sitting talking about the weather

They should seriously re-record Ember To Inferno.

GetScaredGaming The whitechapel re-master did sound worse than the original I think, but that was only a re-mastering of the songs. I think Sean meant they should re-record the whole album since the members of trivium have definitely become better at their instruments and matts vocals are waay better now that he's an adult lol I think he was like 18 when they recorded ember to inferno.

Bayley McNamee To be fair, all of A7X can do some form of vocals and all have pretty unique voices from one another; and did it in the studio. M Shad-Husky Baritone, The Rev-Scratchy Light Tenor, Syn-Full Tenor, Zacky-Lyric Baritone, Johnny Christ-Low Tenor with decent screams and growls lol (not the best singer though . Trivium, three of them sing and 2 are baritones and Pablo is a high ass tenor :/ Still a great band, and at least all 3 of them can actually sing (unlike Johnny Christ)

Joe Harris Gunshot kicks ass live. I was caught off guard when those intro machine gun drums and harmony chords kicked in last time I saw them. They also played He Who Spawned the Furies and I went absolutely apeshit. Only my 5th time seeing them and they always find a way to put a killer setlist together and throw in some classics.

6 years ago when you wrote this comment, they remembered their older songs. Now things have changed since Alex Bent entered the band, he is a good drummer I can't deny but his presence has killed old Trivium and nowadays they sound like a total different band

I just woke from a torture of a nightmare when I received a call. It felt like I was dreaming for 3 hours and would've gotten far worse in the next one. Now I'm listening to these guys cause this song was the first thing that came to mind when I stopped talking on the phone. 3am and goin all out in Playerunknown's! >__

It's because the producers edit the fuck out of the music and make it sound how they want

Ember to Inferno was one of the first Metal-Core albums to be recorded, and it was also one of the last that mixed thrash elements with a Metal-Core sounds. Trivium is keeping that sound alive though. \m/
