Greetings from the states Richard. I’m not quite retired at 65 but close. This week after many KZread’s decided to close the gap since I last owned a motorcycle of 46 years:). I purchased the T120 in stealth blue. Waiting to pick it up when the “dresser bars” arrive to protect the engine and my legs. In Texas, we have to take riding safety class to demonstrate proficiency of the basics which turned out to be quite fun. Enjoy your Bonnie and the upcoming trip. I’ll be in a training mode for some time to come.

Hi, Richard - congrats on the new T120, I loved the colour scheme. Your Channel was one of the responsibles for having me testing the T120 (initially, I was keen on the Speed Twin siblling) and make me love it for its looks and well maners on the road, a more relaxing one, exactly what I was looking for at my 50th round around the globe. I bought my 6 months ago ( 23' T120 Black) and I just love it ... I intend to keep it for 10 years ... Cheers from Brazil ( by the way, my father is from Tenerife .. I´m looking forward to get to know it, specially now knowing that it´s a bike rider paradise) ..

Hi Renato, well done!!! And I am pleased that I helped you make the decision. I have just come back from 2700 miles riding around Europe on the T120 over 12 days. And I can say the T120 was perfect. I feel this bike is a keeper and when the bike falls apart, I shall take the engine out of the tired bike and put it in a boat 😆. The engine is so lazy and easy to work with that I am sure it would be perfect in a boat 😆. The T120 is a great bike and if serviced and looked after, it should last for many many years. Does yours have the cruise? How are you getting on with the cruise? I found it very useful whilst traveling through Europe.

Loved the ride-a-long Richard. Can't wait for more video's with this girl. Last video, I was reading all of the comment's & someone had mentioned the lack of a center stand on the Bonneville in which you confirmed. I simply was shocked that there was no c.s. on your bike. What the hell is wrong with these manufactures today. I can understand it for some bikes, but not that one. Anyway, I will be trying to sort that March '25 Tenerife trip out for my wife & I. Gotta get a passport!-yea! Cheers you ole Brit! Have a great day!! Illinois, USA

Hey Larry, isn't she wonderful 😆. You are right, no CS. Bit of a problem but it can be resolved. I will find one off FB Marketplace. This seems to be the approach from all manufacturers. Maybe they are no longer needed as the riders don't need (or want) to look after their bikes themselves. Maybe it's just easier to take it to the service centre and pay for the job whilst one waits and has coffee and muffins 😆. You know I am an old fart and will simply refuse to pay someone to do a job that I can easily do. You and me are screwdriver men. We are in short supply nowadays 😆. Bloody kids, don't know how lucky they are 😆. Go get that bloody passport - we shall be drinking beer at abouts $2 a pint 😆. At Adams place, their is a large kitchen where breakfasts will be plentyful for the days riding 👍. More details in a future video.

The fit and finish of the T120 looks fantastic and the increased performance must be a real bonus. Like you I also have a new BSA Gold Star and I love it. Loved your video and am looking forward to more on your T120. I recently traded my 2023 Speed Twin 1200 on a 2023 T120 and am glad I did, the T120 being much more comfortable and 'classic' looking with still all the usable power any sane person could use. I also had the T100 in the recent past and as others have said the T100 may be the 'sweet spot' in the range, that depends on where you live and the roads you are riding. Here in the States (Pennsylvania for me) ... while I do live in a rural area with plenty of back roads to enjoy, the occasional trips on the interstate highways where you are in the 75-85 mph range, the lack of higher gearing on the T100 left much to be desired.

The details will be in a future video but rest assured, the team will arrange the days and evenings entertainment. The plan is three days riding (easy riding - lots of stops for photos, cigs, toilets, drinks and food etc) and in the evenings, down to the Los Cristianos front for walks, food, entertainment etc etc. NOTE: best idea is come join us a couple of days prior to your three day ride slot and meet everyone and come out for the days entertainment. Something like that but we are flexible to your needs 👍. No worries about airports and taxis, we will collect and return you from the airport to your accomodation etc.

Yamaha RD’s had self cancelling indicators on the bikes back in the late 70’s or early 80’s. I guess you missed out on that going the Suzuki X7 route! I love them and am glad some of my bikes have them again 40 years later 😂. I’ll continue to shout at you over the intercom when you’re flashing away unnecessarily 🙄 so I guess that makes me your auto indicator alarm 🤪 You’re probably expending all your technical mindset on work and vlogs so the less complicated riding parameters of the T120 make a lot of sense and it is an amazingly torquey engine (although slightly over-geared imho, easy fix) and should make for a very relaxed tourer with good fuel mileage to balance off the RD350’s thirst 😅 👍

Be very careful when choosing luggage, too much on the back can make the steering light, there is no steering dampner on the bike, I've just put a passenger backrest and rack on the back, looking for a small bag for the back to match my unit garage panniers, if you are looking for luggage my I suggest, unit garage, sw motech legend gear or classic rides, all have bags that go with the look, sw motech come with waterproof inner bags, unit are expensive but high quality, and the guy on classic rides uses his own bags, I also have a sw motech tank strap with a 1 litre bag on it to protect the tank

The Rocket is just madness in a nice way 😆. you can't have a T120 and a speedmaster, too much alike so the scrambler would be the one to get I suppose. The trip - if your health slows you down, just come and enjoy the crowd and take a bike out at your own pace. That is no problem. And the pace is not fast, I assure you that. Hi Thomas, I thought I would go for a ride today prior to answering you. The wind blast is no problem on A and B roads. The challenge is motorways. So, I usually cruise at around 80MPH. I have no issues on the Tiger with this. 85MPG is about my long riding fast speed or I just get too tired. With the T120, I suspect I will be ok up to about 70 or 75MPH. And with the cruise, this should be even easier. I suspect if I go up to 85 for long periods, then I will get thrown around a lot. I really need to order a screen as the touring season for me starts right now 😆

@@bankruptpensionerThat wasn’t the intention😂 After all with the investment that we do, of time, money and learning by living the situations, the achievements that we accomplish are great. When I started watching motorcycle videos, years ago, the quality was questionable. Today, things are different, but the wind noise, still is a reasonable enemy of a video production. To ear clearly the sound of the engine of this beautiful machines and at the same time to listen a clear speech and narrative of the video subject, by live voice, still is a job of niche, technical expertise of knowledge and means. But what I pointed seemed something that is manageable by the Editing software, and regulation of mic settings , normally available for this purpose. In a word, weather! All the stuff in the media about Spain and the Spanish islands is mostly a lot of media hype. They want the tourist, the whole of the economy in Tenerife relies on tourism. Without tourism, no jobs. What they are slightly irked about is property developers just building for foreign buyers and a lack of rental properties for locals because landlords make more money out of renting to tourists. It's the same in the UK in Wales, Scotland and Cornwall. No properties for local people because of people buying 2nd homes which are sitting there empty for 6 months of the year.

hi BB, this is a really good point. Firstly, the Tenerife thing with tourists is simply media hype. I assume some locals do not appreicate tourism however, these are few and far. I never noticed anything on this subject. Next point. Nothing wrong with a jolly to Wales or Scotland, and we can do this however! And bear with my thoughts on this!! And, thell me your thoughts!! Here we go. In the UK, Europe and across the globe, the number of lone men and women is on the rise. Assume they have bikes. Riding locally is no major challenge but often becomes a lonely ride. Riding abroad will, for some, be a stretch too far to get on the bike, riding from Manchester to the Alps let's say. However, going as a planned group to an Island that has been tested, and with a supplier (Tenerife on Triumph) that has been tested, allows 'us' to arrange a holiday solution that gets them in the nice weather, direct access to great roads and, most importantly, be in a like-minded group who want to ride and have fun together. I am in a fortunate position where I have a low number of riders I can go away with (Mark, Andy, Charlie). If it wasn't for my friends, I would be going away by myself - and potentially not going away at all due to the thought of being alone. The ride in Tenerife is not for a collection of lonely people (and there are many nowadays in the UK - I was one at one point and know what its like) but to get like minded people together to enjoy the weather, the roads, breakfast, evening meal, cigarettes, having a pee at the side of the road, politically incorrect jokes all the way, and just having a good time together. Does this make sense? Please, if I am wrong, let me know. Do we need to arrange a ride to Wales now the weather is warming up??? Thoughts?
