Фильм және анимация
Now we're getting deep into the paintwork prior to final assembly so onwards with plenum chambers, rear calliper and beginning the mudguards (which are not good!).

When I had my mudguards painted 9 years ago, by a friend who is a professional, I got him to apply a coat of stone chip protection to the inside of them before the colour. That front mudguard bracket should be mounted with three chromed, panhead pozi bolts, with nylon washers under the heads. When I reassembled mine, I made washers from a thin sheet of vinyl to separate the paintwork from all the steel brackets.

Many thanks Rick and for confirming the bracket mounting fixings - I had a vision of them in the back of my mind.
Good to see you back on deck, mate. Don't do too much and jigger yourself up again. Look after yourself, health is vital.

Many thanks Phil - couldn’t agree more.
So the "light restoration" continues. I think lots of people don't fathom the level of damage that subtley occurs over nearly 50 years of the machine sitting in unheated sheds without draining fluids or pasting some protectant over painted and chromed surfaces. Press on and thanks for sharing.

Yes John it grinds on but with more momentum and positivity now as there might be a chink of light at the end of a long tunnel. Thanks for the kind comment.
Wow, I was stunned by the transformation in the brake caliper. A good omen for the rest of the project?

Thank you Mac - hopefully a good omen but let’s see.
After another painting video , will the bike start going back together??

Hi Matt. Definitely possibly. Appreciate it’s a bit tedious and uninteresting but as you know paint prep just takes ages.
