The Rocket 3 got down the track pretty quickly much quicker than a slightly modified older version of these bikes will do. I've raced against a 145 rwhp Rocket 3 with my Thruxton R with good results. I guess he got tired of getting beat so he up the horsepower to 199 at the rear wheel. I'm pretty sure he will need 220 horsepower at the wheel to turn a 10.7 I thought this Rocket 3 did, but a 11.5 will beat me so I'll probably get beat but he has to win the next 29 in a row to tie me and I'm not racing that many times.

223 hp then - now 232hp - I also have a 248hp Rocket but not yet raced.

Is it stock I swear it seems you could do a 10.00 flat

Not stock - at time of race this bike had 220 hp now 230hp

Twice the weight, and just as fast...

rocket isint stock ,second 0-200 time new r1 have 2 times faster than rocket ;) 7 vs 14 sec more or lees.

even 600cc sport bike win with stock rocket on quarter mille with good rider on them they do 0-200 in around 10 seconds and quarter mille in around 10,5 s rocket can do only 0-100 km/h in similar time only because 600-1000cc sports bike cant use full power to the ground beacuse they go on back wheel with longer swing am 600 cc can do 100 in lees than 3 sec and 1000 cc less than 2 sec rocket in 3,5 sec

and rocket still lose with head start r1 pass him in half distance however r1 is little lower than stock which help dont go so fast on back wheel if i good see there is 10,7 sec for rocket and 9,8 for r1 stock rocket 3 do 11,5 -11,7 sec on quarter mile and r1 this year on video it have 170 hp around in 10,2 sec thats diffrent 2 classs in acceleration 12,3 sec do sv 650 with 72 hp .

Head start? It was a rather slow start to my mind. Initial reaction was very quick, but RPM dropped badly. Yes the R1 passed after half distance - but that means the Rocket even won 1/8 mile...The 0-60mph times of the stock Rocket are restricted, because the Rocket is limited to 5800rpm, and power is restricted from 5300rpm. Thats way before maximum hp. Also it means changing gears before 60mph. Derestricting is very easy and the Rocket will go under 3sec.
