Thanks for watching, it’s hard to say if one is better than the other. Based off the quality of the machine work, tolerances, and the attention to detail. I would definitely say that the Hepolite oil pump is going to give the Morgo plunger pump a run for its money

Any brand new pump has got to be better than a potentially 60 year old original pump. I like the Morgo pumps myself, but yes it's always best to be safe than sorry, and pull them apart to confirm there's no fluff or swarf inside, and always prime and confirm flow before test riding 👍

Hi Kyle, great video. A before and after oil pressure reading would have been cool to see if there was a difference between the old and new pumps. Also, does the shop manual specify a minimum/maximum pressure range? It would be great if Hepolite came out with one for Nortons. Any idea if that's on their radar? If you have a contact there, it might be worth mentioning. :) Thanks for investing the time and effort into making your videos, it's appreciated.

Thank you for watching! Both read the same - however a test without an oil pressure relief valve would be interesting to measure just how much each can produce. Nothing on Norton's (as of yet?) - the current Andover pump on the market (that we sell) is good

No springs in the new pump? I figure there's a reason. Could you explain?

@@mikeparker4237 They are supposed to be in the caps to hold the oil from being sucked back. I took the answer to mean that they are present in the pump/caps, but not in the video.

There's not much new there, the only difference can be the size of the bores as the stroke wont change, but if you need a new pump go for it, why wouldn't you?
