Second time I've watched this and it's this fellow's honest enthusiasm that brought me back. T'would be great to take a ride with him pity I'm half the world away in Thailand. My brother and my Dad had Triumphs in England in the '60's when boys dreamed of two things, pretty girls and Triumph Bonnevilles ... Love Live and Ride Your Pony

The statement that Triumph Bonneville is the Cadillac of motorcycles chilled me. My wife once told me when I wanted to buy a motorcycle - OK, but don't buy a Harley. I don't want my husband to be associated with a bunch of Harleys. When I repeated your Triumph/Cadillac opinion, she said Bentley, Old Alfa Romeo, Lancia OK, but NO CADILLAC! Gentlemen don't drive Cadillacs! Just like they don't drive Mercedes and BMW. Once upon a time yes, but now NO! Triumph goes well with Sanders shoes, a jacket, and have you ever seen a driver dressed like this in a Cadillac? Regards

Thank you for showing that lovely bike . I purchased a Used Triumph America my first Used Triumph, just to get back into riding again after a 2 year off riding. Now looking for a newer model. Everything for me anyway pints to the T120, looks so classic. Thanks for giving me some ideas, safe riding.

The T120 is really the ultimate retro bike. They handle very well and have amazing power all through the range. Would love to have one myself...I do own a T100 :)

Understated elegance - just the right ratio of black to chrome, panniers in keeping with the overall design. Probably the prettiest machine since the BMW R90S!

I had skipped the intro to hear your thoughts along the ride. I was thinking, “those look like rural Iowa roads.” So I go back, Marne, Iowa! Haha. Thanks for your thoughts on the T120. I had ridden one a few years back. Went with an Indian Scout instead. Now I am reconsidering, want a different ride than a cruiser. Cheers from Clive!

Awesome review thank you. Yes its interesting the wind screen thing. I owned 3 Harley 1340's during the 90's and screens were almost never seen. I'm guessing if you try a screen and like it, you will always want one. Thank you again for a great clip.

I feel a lump in my throat. I rode a T120 Bonneville (650 4-gear) in the 1960's here in Australia. And it rode just as you describe here in your video. It would burble happily around the city (Brisbane) and was very manoeuvrable, or take off leaving almost everyone else in the dust if you changed down and grabbed a fistful of revs. It had a certain feel on the road. It was extremely responsive and I hardly ever needed to use full throttle to really accelerate and fly. With the 360 crank it was very low engine vibration. When my mates and I swapped bikes for fun at times they were green with envy at how silky the ride was. Especially the owners of the new Japanese bikes that were taking over. From your review I would say this new T120 is not just retro in looks. I want to tell you that all the fine riding features you describe in this video were there in my 1964 - 650 Triumph T120. The new one appears to have a near identical frame/forks/trailing-arm architecture and riding position. What a magical thing that the modern iteration has captured so well the deep spirit of the original Bonneville. I am very impressed and not a little moved. Still have my license but haven't ridden for years. I would so love to take one out for a run. I can tell from your ride and its note that I would be at one with it in minutes, and that's not just sentiment. I used to take my girlfriend out on it. We are still married. I really miss my old Bonnie, but am staggered that it has been reincarnated - better than ever.

Hi from Blighty, had one of these since 2017. Fabulous bike. Triumph listened to critics of the previous 900 and implemented them for the new bikes. very clever . Recomend the Thruxtons and the speed twin if you get a chance. You absolutely will not be doisapionted. Enjoyed your stateside review thank you.

My Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer? Love it, but I’d need to call ahead for reservations to attempt a u-turn like that. I’ll keep it (because it’s just so much better than any GS I’ve owned…except my old ‘91 PD), but the T120 is on my radar! Thanks for the review and ride. Sweet grunt and pull, isn’t it? 👍👍

I have a '16. (just clicked over 12,000 miles) If you're into performance you might get a Speed Twin or a Thruxton. If you get a T120 replace the Pirelli Phantoms. They're sort of flat and don't let the bike transtion side to side well. I put on Avon Spirit st's and love them. Every weekend I go out and look for the curviest roads. (pretty sure the 2023s have better tires). The clutch is the best clutch I've ever used. The quality? Meh...... I've had a couple turn signals and the headlight go out. When I took it apart to replace the bulbs the problem was that the connections were loose. My chrome rims are already starting to rust. So, if you want a retro standard bike with spokes...yeah I recommend the Bonny. I know Royal Enfield is back but they are limited to 650cc. I'm glad I got a Triumph. It's not pefect but for the price it's a great motorcycle.

Absolutely love my Triumph T100, if it wasn't so nice I'd trade up to a T120 for the extra torque and cruise control. Triumph makes wonderful motorcycles. Wahoo!

They have everything the old Meridan made bikes don't have. Expensive pollution controls, disc brakes need fluid change every 7,000 miles,no gear drive with push rods, chain drive valve system, plastic parts, no kick starter, expensive valve adjustment , electronics out the wazoo waiting to have a expensive failure, heavy 🪨 ,pale copy of a legendary classic, and not the least it's made in Thailand not England. My Triumph Tr-6 is 60 years old. I have had my Triumph Tr-6 with a hard tail and magneto for 40 years. Reliable and dependable transportation. Rebuidlable forever ♾️. She is also much better looking.
