This bike in a heartbeat! Absolutely stunning, and the newer ones now have the 12L tank. I bought the Speedmaster because of the comfort and pillion seats, which I can remove to approximate this Bobber. But I think the Bobber is one of the most beautiful bikes out there.

Saw this at the Toronto motorcycle show last weekend. Nicest looking bike I saw. What a beauty!

Very nice bike. 1 year ago I (63 yrs old) was looking for a bike to replace my ridiculously fast (in every way) modified Yamaha MT-10 for something very much more relaxed. After test riding a Kawasaki Z900rs and Indian Scout my eyes fell on the Triumph Bobber (with the larger front wheel). The Triumph Bobber seemed like a very good choice in my opinion. In fact I had almost decided this would be the one. After testing the riding position on the showroom floor a test ride would have to decide if this was the bike for me. Unfortunately (or luckily) I couldn't get a test ride anywhere. Contacting the Triumph importer did't get me anywhere either. My brother suggested to check out the Harley Davidson Sportster 48. After a test ride, which was very easy to get, HD got me very interested. After test riding several more Harleys (Street Bob, Fat Bob and Fat Boy) I decided for the Fat Boy. Much more expensive than the Triumph Bobber. But with a much more relaxed and better riding position for me. Much better looking too (IMO). Oops a bit long my comment. Keep up the good work.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time I watch this video. I am 51, have never owned a motorbike, but intend to get me a new (2020 or 2021) Triumph Bobber Black in matte black in few months after I simultaneously pay off my 2011 911 and 2017 Fiat Abarth. I am absolutely in love with this bike!!!

In 1969 I got my motor cycle endorsement riding a 1969 Triumph Bonneville before I could drive a car, I couldn't afford a car so I did what I had to do. I love it man out of the park dude.

The first thing I did when I bought my Bobber Black in The Netherlands in 2018 was buying the original Triumph kneepads to make the Bobber tank look more like an old school motorbike tank. It looks fantastic.

It's informative and as a non rider currently it's easy to understand. I also liked how you got shots from the side of the road of you riding it, this might be the first review I've seen where riding isn't all shot 1st person.

I adore my 2018 Bobber Black. Riding any motorcycle is great therapy, but i only need to look at my BB and i feel instantly happy. Actually just thinking about it i get warm fuzzies! When riding it is impossible to have a bad day. Great review.

The Bearded Bobber Perfect! The step from Iron to BB is ideal. The 1200 Triumph is more potent feeling than the 1200 Harleys too

That's an absolutely Stunning bike. The best Bobber I've ever laid eyes on. I agree with you about not changing anything. Well... I too would change the exhaust, and I'd get rid of the Drag/Tracker handlebars. I'd replace those with a set of Mini Ape hangers. An excellent review as always, keep up the good work.

@@MrDarcy-OlMan personally, I'd go with the Harley Davidson Street Bob. It seems like best bang for your buck. Because you can up the engine displacement. I'd take it up to Stage 2 with slip on exhaust. Throw on a Tan solo seat and change the rear 150/80/16 to a 150/70/17.

Professional, exhaustive , interesting review. Congrats! I own a 2017 Bobber (now completely in black) and I covered 30.000 km in two years, sometimes up to 350 km a day. I've customised several parts but the most effective has been to substitute the inadequate rear std shock absorber with the optional adjustable (it comes for 400€ + mounting). It really worth the expense, and my suffering 2 vertebras are now ok. Yes, tank is quite small, otherwise using an average "cruise speed" , autonomy gets up to ab. 200 km (and for emergency I keep a 1.5 lt locked-tank inside my rear bags). I would have liked more a classic separate tachometer. Because of the pandemic, we are now locked at home, dreaming wind on our faces again... Wish the best to everyone

skywalker rouge one OK that’s good! It is remarkably well styled isn’t it!

I'm 6'3" myself and quite skinny at only 180 pounds. so it was very helpful that you filmed yourself going down the streets and roads. You looked great and very comfortable on this bike I would go for the forward controls even though they wouldn't be needed. I just like, and am more used to, forwards. I would rate this bike a bit better looking than the H D 48 because of the floating seat and tire hugging fenders. I will be in the market for a new bike this year and the Triumph Bobber Black is at the top of my list. PS, the "bang for the buck" factor of this bike is unbeatable.

Go for it. Passed my test in February at the age of 50... Bought a Truimph bobber in khaki green with brown quilted seat and after market exhausts... Its a terrific bike and I had bought it before I had passed my test... I just had a feeling it was for me.. Best of luck with your test. 👍

The video doesn't do justice to how good these sound! I took one out, loved it, want one!!

Good job, guys 🤘 It is absolutely a bike to fall in love with. I agree to 98%, that there is no need for bigger modifications on this bike, the designers did a good job. I also like the look and the sound of the stock pipes. The only thing i 'd change are the handelbars. In my opinion, a bobber needs a kind of "wheelbarrow"- handlebars, e.g. a beachbar. And the turn indicators need to be mounted at the bar ends....but that's all. But i've read / heard somewhere, that the comfort of the rear suspension is not very comfy, it hasn't got very much travel (correct me if i should be wrong). So it is not suitable for people with a crushed backbone (like me; 2 surgerys because of disc prolapse). And it looks a little bit strange, if it is ridden by a huge and wide person. My summary: A really cool looking bike, not for the big trip. But for the ride out on sunday, for a ride on good and smooth surfaces

Michi Schalusenbach Brilliant points again Michi. The suspension does bottom out on bigger bumps certainly. It’s a comfortable ride on smooth roads though. Ideal height person probably 5’11-6ft.

Beautiful! I'm 6'4" and I heretofore discounted this bike...Now I'll take a harder look!

Nice review. I’ve only been riding 18 months (I’m a late bloomer) and currently ride a Triumph Street Triple, but want to upgrade to a Bobber Black. This review has helped as I’ve been torn between this and the Indian Scout Bobber. I’m South Leicestershire, so I’ll keep an eye out for you on the roads 😀👍

Love this bike. Rode and owned Harleys, Triumphs, and BSA Lightning, but I just feel really drawn to this bike, considering the purpose I need it for. I'm an older man, and this seems just right. Besides being a real beauty. Thanks for the Vid.

Love the looks. The seat looks very comfortable. At 73 I need a bike like this that doesn’t have me stopping on my toes like my ST1300s did. Love the sound as is and the pipes look well tucked in. It looks like it could have a great lean angle for a bobber. I would rather see this in a 650 or 500cc bike. It’s always been more fun to thrash a smaller displacement machine than simply overpower the road. A one gallon tank won’t take you far and I do like to ride. Living in Tennessee a simple ride over the Cherohala Skyway is 64 miles of steep climbs and lots of elevation changes. I could easily see how you might not make it without a spare quart stashed somewhere.

MrDarcy & the Ol'Man I am not. Since the Bobber came out I’ve admired the looks and the quality of the bits and build but I will have to move in from motorcycles as I get older.so I think my current 2015 Goldwing may be my last bike. I did also like the Yamaha Bolt 650 cruiser as well. It’s small, inexpensive and Yamaha is almost as famous as Honda for their reliability and easy maintenance.

I test rode this bike today and loved it! Great sound, nice torque, perfect fueling. At 6’4”, I was worried I wouldn’t fit, but I was very comfortable on it. Ironically, I was more comfortable on the bobber than the Indian Springfield I test road later today. Even though the bobber is a smaller bike, the ergonomics don’t make you feel as folded up. The seat was comfortable on the Bobber, but I felt tailbone pain on the Springfield.. But the bobber suspension is firm and the handling is very impressive, pushing you to go faster thru corners. However, when you hit expansion joints it is very jarring. It’s definitely more on the sporting end of cruisers, but felt more comfortable to me than the SF.

Lovely bike, I love everything about it except being water cooled. I think it's and additional layer of service and problem causing source, but that's just me. Surprised Triumph started making water cooled engines. Beautiful bike. Ride safe cheers.

First mod on my 2021 Bobber was the Fox adjustable rear shock. Major difference. Short mudguards front and rear and too many other mods to describe turned it into a real head turner. I love the Triumph, and both my Harleys too, but ride the Bobber more than not. Thanks O'l Man from the other O'l Man in the States. Great vid.

Where can we see your bobber mate

I'm 64 years old, and I bought my Bobber Black 2 years ago. The only thing I added to my Bobber were the 2 original Bobber kneepads because I thought the tank looked a little bald or dull without them.

I really love the look of that bike. Only thing I would change is the front rotors to more of a straight spaced out look design to showcase those spoke rims. And the mirrors. I personally hold on the edge of the bar end. Other than than, it’s stunning

Great review. The Triumph Bobber is what a Bobber SHOULD look like. It put's the other factory Bobbers to shame in looks, ride, handling, comfort and performance and that includes the H.D. Street Bob which here in the U.S. with optional ABS is 3thousand more than the Triumph. Shockingly, I had never seen one of these on the road here in the U.S.. I recently tested one and after riding it, and staring at it from all angles, I like it better than my 2020 Low Rider S. The S with the 114 motor has more power, but the riding position is not near as comfortable and over all, not as much fun to ride as the Bobber Black.

Arh lovely. Was looking for this review and anything Triumph.. I had a test ride of the standard bobber when it came out, Beautiful bike. Would like to see more Triumphs, like the street RS or the speed triple. Oh, I really hope the young Darcy gets a secret go of these bikes off camera, otherwise this could be considered a cruel and unusual punishment 🤣

Yes, the Triumph Bonneville Bobber Black is a real beauty and an eye catcher as well. I used to own one of these beauties for one year but I traded it in for a Scrambler 1200 XC which suits my riding style and size more than the Bobber. I am 6,10 feet tall and definitely too tall for the Bobber due to my long legs. The older biker on the video seems to have shorter legs as the angle of my legs has really looking bad compared to how he looks on the bike. So it rather depends on the length of your legs wether the bike will suit you or not instead of the total body size. Other than that it is an awesome bike. We just did not match but I still like it a lot. However I do feel a lot more comfortable on my Scrambler 1200 XC and I am very happy that I found the right Triumph bike which meets my expectations completely.

Disagree with the comments regarding quality. I've had two of these and the second winter having passed the corrosion is incredibly annoying all over the bikes despite protection. Some of us want to be able to ride what I think is an expensive bike for the whole year not just when it's dry. The only other thing I would argue is that I have never ever seen 69 mpg. I get maximum 100 miles to a tank on cruise control going steady. I agree with the majority of the rest of the video. Keep it up.

I bought the Indian scout bobber a few years ago but I like the Triumph better. At the time the chain drive turned me away but it's really a non issue. At 74 I'm one of the younger riders you mentioned.

She's a beauty. Rode Triumphs since I was 16 (no, yanks don't all ride rice burners, or, well, that other thing). This is one to buy to have something to give to one of the kids (or grandkids), whichever gets that gleam in their eye ( after I've done a little travelling on it). Triumphs triumph!

Great review. Bought one two summers ago, a 2017 Standard Bobber (same bike save for the front tyre and non-blacked out parts.) I've ridden Harleys, Kawasakis, Hondas - this one eclipses them all and is the closest thing to flawless i've experienced in a bike. I did think the Standard Bobber was the perfect blend of muscle and class, the Bobber Black with everything blacked out and that fat front tyre was "trying too hard" to be cool to me, which is not cool (unless you're American.) But that's my opinion, and if it handles like the Standard (flawlessly) it's splitting hairs. But i'd say check out the same bike in Standard as well. Oh, and it's English. Kudos for that, too.

Great review as always, I'm a 47yr old 71kg/173cm guy who ride a Kawasaki Z900Rs right now and planning on ordering this bike in a few days. Just an amazing looking bike to me for those sunny sunday rides. Will keep the Z for hooligan rides, but man do I love the look and sound of it. Just hope comfort is still pretty good for 100km-like rides.

I’m with you, Hans, and feel like I have the best of both worlds! I’m 64 years old, 5’6”, 155 lbs., and have been loving my Z900rs for ergonomic comfort, handling, performance and looks, putting 16k miles in 2 years riding all over San Diego, Calif. Riding her makes me feel like Tom Cruise! I bought a 2017 red bobber in December with 2800 miles and now I get to feel like Marlon Brando! Although a completely different riding experience, I retain the awesome looks (surprising) handling and performance, and for me and my bad back, it absorbs MOST of the bumps pretty damn good. I don’t think I even need to upgrade the suspension for the way I ride. Maybe because it’s new to me, but it’s been soooo much fun to ride around. Compared to Z900rs, sitting lower into the bike, longer gear ratio, lower sounding revs from parallel twin, makes for a more mellow ride, yet the usable torque and hp will get you wear you want to go in a hurry! I also love the little differences like the seating position, my bar end mirrors, the drag bar handlebars, and key ignition on side of engine. Oh, and I can finally flat foot on a bike that, compared to heavier Indians and Harleys, only weighs around 500 pounds (remember, I’m only 5’6”, 155 lbs, and 64 years young!) Some days it’s tough to decide which bike to ride, but hey, that’s a challenge I’m always up for! Stay safe and enjoy your ride(s) 🏍 🏍 ✌️😎

@@scottashdown3686 thx. been a silly year for me. sold the bobber, sold the Z900Rs, bought a Harley, sold that again, bought a BMW r1250r but regretted selling the Harley and rebought my Low Rider S. So currently have a BMW r1250r in the garage and a Harley Low Rider S. Great bikes, but I went a bit in 'panic mode' due to comfort and performance and looking back, I'd better have stayed where I was with the Z900RS and Bobber. Can't go back of course but I'm very much considering swapping the BMW for either a new Z900RS or Speed Twin. The BMW is great, it just doesn't grab me. The Harley is pretty cool though. Not comfy, but cool.

You're right, straight from the shop floor it is one of the best looking machines going. It doesn't have any of that pseudo- tough guy Harley thing either. I would have to tidy up the rear end though.

I did appreciate your deep review, very complete I own the 2017 version, I made it all in black and I've changed the rear absorber with the optional adjustable. I prefer the first version 2017 (better to drive) but actually my single front brake is inadequate. The front brake upgrade (not original spare part) comes for 650€, I don't understand why Triumph doesn't offer it as optional

What a beautiful bike! I cannot wait till I can pick up my bobber, hopefully with week. In Germany, the first service is due after 800 km or 4 weeks already whatever happens first. After that initial inspection it is due every 16.000 km or every year. So it is basically a marketing joke, since you need to take it to inspection every year, even if you don't ride 16.000 km. ;)

Yes they are all the same to be honest. Even zero miles you still need a service to maintain the warranty.

Man such a cool looking bike. A bobber is just my kind of bike, cool-looking and no pillion! And WTF? £11650-800 out-the-door? Such an amazing price for the bike. Where I’m from the damn things cost +£15000 and with there being only one dealership in the entire country, no chance of knocking the price down. And you’d probably agree that while it’s a nice bike, it costing the equivalent of £15000 is just too much.

I love the look of the Bike! I had a 2012 Triumph Thunderbird Storm paid roughly 15k for it, sold it in 2019 with 4400 miles and it wouldn't bring more the 4k... Triumphs just do not hold their value. I just bought a 2022 Indian Scout Bobber 20 and love it, the resale value of the Triumph is the only reason I didn't consider it.

I considered the Bobber, and then I bought a Street Bob, not much in it regarding price but The Street Bob has more capabilities, pillion for example,and its a bigger bike all round.

Thanks for all your reviews, they are excellent, informative and enjoyable. I think this Bobber will be my next bike. I traded in my street triple for a BMW R1200GS 3 months ago on the basis of riding more country side miles now days, but I have just not warmed to my GS even though I have 2,000 miles on it. The GS is an excellent bike, but the real fun is just not there, its also just too big, especially in the cities. So I am going back to Triumph, where this Bobber and the Speedmaster are neck and neck at the moment. The Black option on the Bobber just swinging it at the moment.I will probably buy before they bring out a Black variant of the Speedmaster, but my wife can buy that next year!

Hi. Great relaxed review channel I've just come across. Good job👍👍 I believe though it's made in Thailand. Was fortunate to have a Triumph factory tour few weeks ago and only 2 versions of the Tiger, the Speed triple and Daytona 795 motogp2 are made in Britain.

... I have the bobber black... you can toss it around the twisties like a sports bike... a bit low clearance on the pegs... put BC slash turnout pipes on it plus several other personalized bits... replaced saddle with de rosa diamond quilted... you are quite right... it is a head turner...

I'd definitely go for the Triumph to be honest. The HD and Indians are nice bikes, but I've never really liked how the V-Twin pipes both come off one side. It feels a bit too asymmetrical. They do sound great though. The Triumph Bobber looks like an actual Bobber style motorcycle, plus it sounds great, and its very symmetrical, it looks like a work of art. It's honestly probably one of the best looking bikes on the market as far as I'm concerned. I go back and forth, but this might be my upgrade bike from my current Interceptor 650 (which I'd keep either way, love that bike).

Lawrence Gough if we can get our hands on one we will. They aren’t making them any more, so it would have to be a used one.

Like the engine but the seat and rear styling not for me. At a similar price I'd go for the Harley Street Bob or spend a little more on the Softail Slim. Great review, cheers.
