This is one of my favorite videos you guys have done. I love the little diners like this , much better than the great big places. The food looked terrific , as did the prices. The memorial tribute about the original owner was done so well and respectfully. This will definitely be on my list of stops whenever I get to come down there again. Question about the syrup : Was it maple or blueberry ? I couldn’t tell by the picture. Thanks , you guys. 💕 Wonderful job as always.

Thanks guys for the video,having a bad weekend,wife has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease fell Friday night needed surgery on her hip,she came through it,but has to stay and get rehab,I miss her,and I know it’s going to be a rough time ahead,she is older then me by 12 years,never know it till this happened.we have been together 32 years,lots of vacations in those years,lucky we saw a lot because doubt by the time I can finally retire she will be able to do much if here at all,just want to say enjoy these days they don’t last forever and they go by so fast

That’s so sad about Trish but , that’s a great memorial to her that is living on through her food and Restaurant. You can tell she was a wonderful person by how loved she was. I really liked how you included her photo in the video . I enjoyed her sister telling us about her and the restaurant. cancer sucks. sorry to hear about their loss. i am over 4.5 years cancer free so far. mom died of the same type (breast cancer) so she warned me to stay on top of it and boy do I! I will say this, it was the treatment that killed her, not the cancer, but we wont go there right now… anyway, another great video you two. thx so much, i really enjoy them. they are always so relaxing and i feel like i am there on each of your trips.

What a pleasant place to enjoy a wonderful meal. Every part of that restaurant from the curtains to how the restaurant was laid out was carefully chosen. Baby sister was keeping the restaurant going in memory of her beautiful sister. Loved the waffles, the homemade syrup, the ham with eggs and gravy. Just an all around wonderful place. As always, enjoyed the drive up to the restaurant. Thanks for taking me a long.

Another great video featuring excellent home style Southern cooking in a diner with a special history. Sad to realize Trish was born the year I graduated from high school and died so young. Happy to see you like your eggs like I do with the yolk cooked through and I also like to break the yolk when I fry eggs. Too bad it was raining which only means you'll need to return on a sunny day.🌞

"Growing up, we always had tomatoes for breakfast." It must be a southern thing; growing up in Connecticut, no one ever served tomatoes for breakfast either at home or at any kind of restaurant. Lucky for me because I do NOT like tomatoes!

It's also an English/British thing... except the tomatoes are usually halved or sliced thick and broiled/fried. Your meals looked delicious, esp. John's benny. I LOVE eggs Benedict, and I love that country gravy. (You hardly see ever that gravy here in Canada)

Over priced food! That's boxed sausage (the cheep stuff) the gravy is packaged gravy not homemade the the waffle mix is also your typical box crap just add water. The hash is from a bag (not fresh). That's basically a Waffle House.
