I have to agree with you! My family loves all 3 of these places, and we have to visit them all when we come for a weeks stay. They are all quintessential Gatlinburg icons! If you need a great lunch, I have to recommend the Log Cabin Pancake House. The beef vegetable soup is fantastic.

Very cool - Thanks for sharing!!! I’ve never had lunch at log cabin. I’ve only ever gone for breakfast… I have to try lunch next time!

I tried Pancake Pantry and it was fine. I arrived about 10 minutes before it opened and was eating when the place filled up - great tip! I walked past Crockett's several times - gotta try that hash on my next trip. I must say that service in the area was excellent everywhere.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I agree about the pancake pantry - did you try the berry pancakes? The hash at Crockett is definitely worth trying! Totally agree. The service was really great at every stop I went to!

Oh and in answer to your coffe question, tea please! Nothing like a good 'ol British stereotype! I realise I'm goingto struggle for decent (Yorkshire) tea in Tennessee!!!!!

I'm kind of a syrup snob. Thick syrup usually means 100% high fructose corn syrup. Light, 'watery' syrup is likely a natural maple syrup. Do you have any idea if maybe the last restaurant was 100% maple syrup?

Looking to get a copy of your guide but I'm in the UK so don't have a US phone number, do you have a dummy number I can input without messing anything up for you?
