I've heard good things about Turkish airlines.... and now this video from Simply Aviation confirms that... This is a premium airline. Having 2 substantial meals on this flight is really great... Metal cutlery, and also the substantial amenity kit. Good attention to detail, which some well known carriers have forgotten over recent times. Well done Turkish Airlines.

Phillip Maguire Turkish Airlines is where it’s at. They are super on point! They don’t price-gouge, have a massive network, new planes and the service is fantastic, and if you’re stuck in Istanbul, it’s one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

@@Potatofarmer1898 Oh yes and yes.... I am seriously considering trying Turkish Airlines on my next long-haul from Australia. As yet, they do not fly into Australia, but hopefully soon they will. Currently, I can pick them up from Singapore, and some other asian ports.

In my experience, Turkish Airlines is the world's best airline with no competition even coming close. They will offer you a full, tasty meal even during a one hour flight. They have IFE in all their flights, including short haul, the staff are incredibly kind, and the planes are always clean and smell good. I think in general Turkish aviation is very professional, but Turkish Airlines will always be my favourite one.

I'm watching and subscribed to your channel...October 2020 I will be taking my very first overseas flight (and I'm 66yrs old)..lol.....My friend and I are going to Lisbon portugal for a cruise....Although my friend has traveled overseas, me 1st......She is only interested in cheap, one stop flight...I am interested in that also but my main concern is comfort...this old back can't handle lousy seats....So I'm going to watch most of your videos to find my perfect fit....Thank you for all your hard work....MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE...

"Scamtrax", heh. Sure. But Look at their Business Class product. Now look at Singapore's (#2) Business Class product. Then look at ANA's (#5) *new* Business Class. You'll find out the reason why.

I have couple of flight reviews with Turkish airlines on my channel too 🤗

Changi is the only airport where I get frustrated at having (typically) a two-hour layover. Because two hours is not long enough for me to do all the fun things that are available. I once spent 4 hours at Changi and I wasn't bored for a second. I only see and hear great things about Turkish Airlines. Every review says they're fantastic.

It’s really sick how underrated TK is by for example Skytrax, that’s really tragic in my opinion, all the best from me to TK, greetings from Sweden!

Yes, but their hard product is seriously uncompetitive at this point. 2-3-2 seating for Business Class is simply ridiculous for 2019/2020. Even Singapore's *regional planes* (Southeast Asia only birds comprising A350s and 787s) have 1-2-1 business class and actual Premium Economy. And even TK's new Business Class has been received poorly (bad width of the seats).

@Lee Claxton And she has every right to say so. Simply Aviation has shown consistent quality over the past three years I have subscribed, and they care about the community. I suppose a compliment is never misplaced, and they really deserve it with extensive reports like these.

TK run a really slick operation which you only appreciate when you look at the departure board at IST which rarely has a delay despite the large variety of destinations and tight turn arounds. I've done 4 x 4 segment flights - never a delay, always excellent crew and great food

Turkish Airlines is probably one of the best airlines that I’ve traveled internationally. Their 787-9 is next level, and I’m flying in their 777-300ER later this month. I hope their Economy Class seats are updated and refurbished!

Turks' domestic flights are way better than this triple 7 long haul ones. I had a chance to try it couple of a months ago. Service and legroom were great in comparison with this 777-300Er Ryan air style legroom and business seat configuration.

I really need to go on a flight soon been a few months since my Norwegian 737-800 flight form Barcelona el prat to London Gatwick. I remember being on an Ek 777 and was moved back a row and was right next to the engine

Ah, nostalgia. I remember flying this in 2018 to visit my grandma. The economy seats have more space and legroom than Lufthansa’s A350 premium economy!

TK is good but still 3 stars in Skytrax? Skytrax don't rate TK 4 star just because of 2-3-2 business class layout in 77W? TK still deserve 4 star even for the fact that 2-3-2 is considered obsolete. Skytrax = Skytrash

Still one of my favorite aviation channels.

TK is one of the best ever airlines i have used. Huge respect for them.

I think TK has one of the best intercontinental economy class. Service is very good, meals are excellent and now with the new Istanbul airport, connecting is easy and organised. Seats are nice too. Business clas is not that good because of their 2x3x2 seating.

As a seasoned traveler, I guess you are able to sleep in a snug Economy seat, though I couldn't. It's a good thing that the touch screen worked, since the remote wouldn't release. I was less impressed with the dinner than you were (pasta in sauce is the cheapest possible meal), but the breakfast looked good. A very generous amenity kit. And metal cutlery! All quite good by Economy standards.

I actually have never had an issue with security at Changi - all my 5 flights from Changi this year had no queue for security at all, so it was a surprise to me to see the looong queue on your flight 😂 (anyone know why?) Also, because I'm quite tall, I actually dislike footrests - they take up some space for my legs, and sometimes when they are broken and can't be stowed properly, I can't even get my legs straight under the seat in front 😂

Apparently Schlappig doesn't share the same enthusiasm for our Changi airport as you.

And any plane at anytime at Chnangi, can get selected to do random security check upon arrival, even if it’s a Singapore airline flight

Thanks for the video - appreciate travellers experiences. Guess its a matter of interpretation, but the leg room seems pretty tight to me.. The foot rest is a perfect example of how tight things are - good luck bending down to get the powerpoint. Do you know the pitch of the seat? - it looks less than 30!! - Also only 32000 foot ceiling - for the distance, this is rather low altitude. The engines sound like GE's ..I missed that part if you showed it.
