Bogotá and all of Colombia, and Spain are very popular routes for tourism, also for business trips between these countries and continents. I hope I have been able to solve your question.

The meals is horrible , one hot meal and one hot snack on a 10 hours+ flights , at least the seats are decent

Loved your report! I have never liked, and will never like, unless they change, Air Europa. Amo a Colombia y su gente. Which economy class do you prefer on the MAD-BOG route, AV, IB or UX?

Expectations: That you'll be squeezed in like fish in a can I reckon Bogota would be a very interesting place to visit mind. I expect Customs would take a particular interest coming back, though

I have flown a lot with aireuropa , a suggest always take the 787 or the A330-300 not the 330-200 because the -200 has 299 seats and the -300 has always 299 so you will find better legroom on the A330-300

I flew Air Europa many times for work from Barcelona with A330’s, B737-800, ERJ190 and ERJ195 and it’s one of the airlines I try to avoid...

One question, economic class is the same as tourist? Because I had the same flight in air Europa Madrid- Bogotá and I had the option to choose food.

Me too, but nevertheless: It's a real shame Air Europa does not serve any salad or vegetables. On all my long-haul flights always just chicken and potatoes (or pumpkin), never anything fresh. I mean, it's a 10 hour flight... KLM or Air France are doing much better on the Europe-Colombia-routes in my opinion (besides from that they use the same aircraft and all have competible IFE).

Bogota is at the moment, a connecting hub for a lot of airlines, and also for its position at almost the top of South America, which under airline alliances, travel to Bogotá, and from there, to Madrid. That is why Avianca, Iberia and Air Europa have so much traffic.

Interesting. I would have thought Buenos Aires had more traffic from Madrid than Bogotá

No. This is because Bogotá is right on top of South America, and is used as a connecting hub for many small airlines. Also the distance is shorter.

It's best if he flies IB, AF or any other carrier to POP, PUJ or SDQ. UX is really a terrible airline.
