What causes these? How do they grow? What minerals etc in their development? Any organisms that prefer living on them? I never, until now, understood the fascination. OOOONMMMMMMGGGG!

They were found in sweetwater mine. From what I understand there are very few of them and none other like it. I live in Missouri and have seen a few in person and they are crazy.
