The guy has identified a genuine need and he has a fantastic idea. It's just far too early to be pitching for 100k. The need for the app is really at best superficial. He never conducted market research and users' behaviors to begin with. When a person come to an airport, anything that was built with the airport infrastructure has its own sign, like bathroom, restroom, bench / bed lounge, smoking room, etc... And anything other than those are restaurants, food court, souvenirs, duty-free stuffs ,...etc and the problem is that to a customer, they make no difference. A customer wouldn't go out of their way, download an app just to find a Burger King, if he has seen a McDonald, he would come to it immediately without caring whether or not a Burger King exists. The dude create a superficial problem and solve it himself, his product serves no real purpose and at best, compare to other big one like Google Map, it's just a mere feature, a module.

In life at least he'll know he's the greatest to his Mom. There's nothing wrong with that. I fact, that is a beautiful gift for there will come a day when his mother will no longer be this side of heaven and on one of his hardest days he'll hear her voice whisper, "You're the greatest." One thing is for sure there is nothing in this world quite like having a loving mother. At the end of the day, she's still believing in her son while they passed him by. Loving parents are a priceless treasure. Perhaps that's the best reality check yet. People come and go throughout our lives but loving parents and family are priceless gifts and treasures. ❤️
