Spin it into a story. Finn paid off the ref to help Damian retain and go from there. The CM Punk costing Drew the title thing is getting old. We had already witnessed that finish twice before.

The whole point of the MITB contract is that the winner can cash in wherever/whenever he wants, for instance, as long as there's a ref local, the MITB winner could cash in on the Champ while they're sat in the Khazi.

WWE will do whatever they want MITB was terrible

I Can't Believe That Was A Botch Right There

People take this wayyyy too seriously. There was no "screwjob", there was a botch with the timing and either Damien didn't kick out in time or Drew didn't enter in time. The match still ended exactly how it was supposed to end.

@@BrianTheMute Did you even watch the same match that I, as well as millions of other people watched?? The ref BLATANTLY stopped his hand from hitting the mat a 3rd time! Basically, he counted to 2 & 1/2 ... and Priest didn't even TRY to kick out at that point (despite the fact that his eyes were clearly OPEN...) leaving Seth with that "WTF???" look on his face! 🤨 Again ... I'm not even a Seth fan, but DAMN, he got "Hitman'd" in the worst way!

If he reverses the result of the champ match, then Drew didn't cash in for the title that means he has to reverse the briefcase too.

Seth Rollins should be the WWE world heavyweight champion because he won it fair and square, whatever happens next is anyone's guess, plus John Cena should be a general manager after his retirement, that would suit him honestly well.

Production messed up they was suppose to hit McIntyre music on the 2nd count and f’d it up its not the refs fault or the Damien’s fault ok that’s the story smh

Vacate the title. Fatal fourway... Seth, Damien, Gunther, and the winner of Drew and CM Punk...or better yet those 5 in a ladder match.

Reverse it, Give Drew the briefcase back.

No GUTHER wins at summer slam and has an awesome run as world champion and punk faces mclntyre 3 times first summer slam punk wins then mclntyre wins the 2nd match at bash at belin and then punk wins the 3rd match at bad blood 🩸 in side Hell in the cell must have blood in it because it’s got the name blood in the title if it does not then that’s just a waste of the name blood 🩸 being in the title

Why does Drew deserve to be co-champions? He didn’t win anything. If anything he wasted that opportunity #1 because he came down and cashed in before either man was really spent and B. He didn’t pin anyone and actually got his arse kicked around the arena floor and was the one who got pinned. As far as Seth goes,he got screwed over. If Priest is any kind of “El Champion” that he claims to be he will give Seth a rematch immediately. And as far as Punk & Drew,just put them in Hell In A Cell on Monday Night Raw and let them settle this. It’s getting old and stale and rather annoying to tell the truth.

Though technically Rollins won id love a title rematch between him and priest truly one on one

I think that Drew’s music was supposed to play and interrupt the count from happening because Priest was looking up the ramp for Drew to come out. He messed up his timing which made it a botch.

Award the title to Seth and fire the Ref !!!!

F**k that fatal 4 way. You get 1 winner, 1 loser, and 2 people with excuses. 3 and 4 ways do not solve issues, they just create new ones.

Dont forget Shawn Michaels an Razor Ramon both were with the Intercontinental title until their epic ladder match, Priest vs Rollins in a ladder match make it a 3 way put Drew in or Fatal 4 way adding Punk

Seth has the title long enough time for someone else to run with it

John Cena should have taken out the 4th bloodline member out of the equation for the Rhodes,KO, and Owens match

Once Drew cashed in it made it no DQ so no there should be no reversal thank you CM Punk

I feel Priest was actually out from that falcon arrow, being spun around upside down two times in quick succession and then dropped on his head, he could of been legit hurt and thus didn't respond to the pin fall

I don't think drew McIntyre should have the mitb back but a Rollins and Priest rematch should be mandatory

If you are going to rely on technical they need a plan B and less reliance on making things as close as possible. They should have had music start after 1 count and let Priest know to stop the count after 2 count regardless of hearing music or not. But they wanted people to know Seth would have won if not for Drew and to have the music interrupt count out(I don't know why music would stop a ref from counting but ...wrestling). But so much story was dependent on this script so the ref was force to look like an idiot and massively break the illusion of wrestling. I ve seen videos on what happens if someone doesn't break the count in time and what should happen is the ref needs to not break character and just finish the count. So yeah Seth won and they should have re worked the story to try to get back on track. Wrestling being live means they need to be able to improve and change scripts even if they don't want to.

Seth did get screwed though with the count but Drew definitely shouldn't be

Why am I not surprised about Damian priest ends up still with the title when Seth Rollins should have got it and no I don't agree with that Tiffany Stratton she just started on there she should work her way up just like the rest of them had to just handing her the money in the bank title it seems to me they are putting NXT above the Raw and SmackDown people and that isn't right either just about if you notice as soon as they get transferred most of them all of a sudden the people that's been doing it forever they just have to wait to get a title opportunity so these beginners above them know it should not going down like that I mean that isn't cool just because Triple H used to coach it no they keep putting NXT I noticed above the other two and that is not right fine get them prepared but make them work their way up like the rest of them had to just because they started their does it mean they should hand them a title opportunity like that when a lot of other ones has been there for a long time that does a great job has to work their way up that isn't fair to the other ones it's been there for a long periods of time just to hand NXT the championship soon as they get to Raw or SmackDown in far as Tiffany Stratton goes it seems to me they keep putting that girl above everyone else on the Smackdown in raw and that's going to cause problems because she just started she should work her way up like everybody else and plus if she did make racist remarks you don't repay her by doing that that's saying it's okay to be like that that's the message they're sending I mean find a lot of them deserve to be on Raw or SmackDown but that's the big time and you're telling me they just cut right in front of them being newbies no the people that's been there the longest that has worked their butts off to get there should be the ones in line for the Championships and they should still be learning like the other ones before them just because Triple H used to run it while back it seems to me it's like they're getting all the championship belts opportunities whenever everybody else from a while back that was in that show work their way up they didn't automatically get title shots right away they had to go through other good people to get that they're pushing all these other ones that just started on there that still beginners like they're above the ones it's been doing it on Raw and SmackDown and if they don't stop doing that that's going to make them mad where they're going to want to go to different wrestling places like aew you might as well just shove them out the door just like Ricochet that man worked his butt off and all the sudden now he's on aew he got tired of being at the bottom and I don't blame him he has a lot of ability and that's what we need he did a lot of outstanding ring activity he shouldn't be on aew and that's where I believe he's going next please stop chasing the ones that are really good that we need a way give them the opportunities they deserve thank you I've been watching wrestling since I was a little girl I am 53 so just give the people that's been doing it a fair shake and let them be the ones that's in line for the opportunity to get the championship belts

Is it just me, or has Canada officially become "Screwjob Central" ever since the infamous Montreal incident?? 🤔 I'll admit ... I honestly don't care that much for Seth! But tbf, that should've been an OBVIOUS 3-count there, and he got "Hitman'd" out of a win in Canada! (AKA Screwjob Central) 😵‍💫

Mistakes happen... There's no use bitching about it. Also, in fairness, and the thing being lost here is that Priest did tweak something when he took that Falcon Arrow from Rollins. You could literally see his hand fluttering up, trying to move his arm to get his shoulder up, and something just wasn't firing there, then you literally see him say to Seth that he 'tweaked' either his neck or his back before he rolled off to the side. We all know what that shoulder roll up spot was supposed to be there. The ref's hand itself didn't actually come down for the 3rd time either, it was the crowd that counted the 3, cuz it was supposed to be a kick out spot to facilitate Drew's entrance. Sorry to all you Rollins fans out there, but the plan was never to have Seth win this one. Reversing the decision doesn't do any good, cuz if you reverse that, you have to go back to KQotR and reverse the decision or have a rematch between Gunther & Orton too, since Orton's shoulders weren't down when he was pinned either. 🤷 From a creative standpoint, either have footage of Drew paying off or intimidating the ref before the match... Fine or fire the ref, and move on, cuz Rollins was going to be moving on to other storylines after this anyways, regardless of whether that kick out spot worked or not. That's just my opinion.. 🤷

Co-champs? No way...Seth won that match plain and simple. And he would've beat Drew, Damien pinned Drew.

I don’t think Priest forgot to kick out. It looked like he physically could not kick out. Something was wrong from an injury standpoint.

This botch has to be the worst in wrestling history.🤦🏻‍♂️ It totally exposes the business. But at least it answered an age-old question that I've always wondered about... If the wrestler doesn't kick out when he's supposed to does the referee keep counting?
