Wow, lol. I believe people are reading the title and not watching the video. The video literally explains it all! Great vid! Just started in my new truck with this god send of an APU! Thanks 😊

Very easy to use but unbelievably impossible to figure out without this tutorial. Three hours later & asking 4 truckers before finally finding this video. How about a regular on button with a menu you can actually see. The most simple shit you can’t figure out anymore. Hold button for 3 seconds & wait for hidden menus. Are you kidding me? My phone used to have a home button. Now I’m swiping up down sideways for hidden menus. What the F!

It was right at the beginning of the video, push the knob in to turn on and off. And there is a continuous light, the entire unit lights up when it is on.

Excellent explaination of HMI operation, assuming the viewer grew up on another planet. I assume it was meant to make sure the lowest common denominator understood. If the controls were any easier to operate they would turn themselves.

@@SnaksGarage wow totally forgot about this post. I done paid off my APU a few months ago. All right so if you guys have two brand new trippak Evolution. There's a USB port that's located where the fuse boxes. Take that USB port and plug it into a computer. Then click on my computer and look for open port... once you find the Thermal King logo. Hit run or open!!! It should bring up a screen with a bunch of perimeters and you can see the RPM temperature Funk temperature outside temperature and so forth. On that same menu you will see a tab that says alarms!! That is where you will figure out what's going on with your APU. It will broadcast the engine alarm code. Then from there you can find a list of codes on of codes listed on Thermo King Apu website. Hope that worked out for you guys.

The Evolution APU unit is plumbed into your trucks cooling system. You will need a cold weather kit installed with the unit. The cold weather kit fires it up when the outdoor temp reaches a certain level and the TriPak then starts on its own and heats the coolant to a preset temp and than shuts the TriPak off.

I have numerous problems with this unit. It does not seem to keep the batteries charged but I can start the truck just fine, every outlet shuts down after about 8 hours. The AC throws a yellow light sometimes and a red light sometimes turning it off and on solves the problem. The heater is dead as doorknob it slowly died out. When running the unit it sometimes shutdown and runs in about 8 minute cycles all night long. Although I'm seeking another company to work for I'm mostly concerned with the failure to keep the electrical outlets on I can deal with the AC issues for now and I really don't need the heater I just want the juice to stay on. Any ideas why the outlets keep going down even when the unit is still running fine? 🤔

Alternator is dead, or possibly a wiring issue. Went through this several times over a couple months and they finally fixed it. It was an alternator 2 times, and a wiring issue three times. So far it's been good for the last 3 months. Cross your fingers. Lol

@@TheRoadhammer379 wrong! They mentioned NOTHING About having to have the “regen” button on the dash turned on-meaning the orange light comes on making you think it’s gonna regen BEFORE you push the center power button in the sleeper! This is the biggest pos unit EVER! I despise Thermoking 😡 they spend more time in the shop getting repaired than working. I hate this thing. Oh and if it flashes a regen code you have to regen WHILE ROLLING and absolutely no way to know if it ACTUALLY did a regen without stopping and trying it again. I’m on day 3 trying to force this pos to regen. I’m buying the greenway APU & I’ll let Penske keep it just bc of the sheer aggravation from fuckin thermoking! Every single APU I’ve had that was theirs has been total shit! DONT waste your money they never work
