I agree and understand you. I just flew twice with them, never on a holiday package, and I really feel sorry for all those workers that have lost their jobs in a blink of an eye... Really sad. At least... I had this flight and tried to make this video as a little tribute to all Thomas Cook workers.

I agree. Sadly I didn't get to fly on them either, but I was on an A321 which flew with them until a few days ago; I flew on it aboard Monarch, then it transferred to Thomas Cook - it was brand new when I flew on it!

It had been a great company since 1841 you stupid person. In ENGLAND we appreciate British business rather than stupid foreign people who FXXX everything up and it is not ok a lot of people are now out of work

at least he get full benefits pay due to leaving before the company officially went bankrupt (i assume that's how it works legally), all these people wont get anything not even likey this months pay , apart from the pension unless they screwed with that as well (other places seem to say the pensions is secure) thomas cook should of closed all storefronts years ago, this is 10 year or longer in the making as this is extreme disrespect to a company and its past founders that's been running for over 100 years to fail like this, i posted new message on this video (might get spam blocked due to link to other youtube channel video) to another video that has the person recording himself showing his phone of the bankruptcy and then the cabin crew doing last tannoy over the system very sad for the flight crew witch probery happened on the last 10-20 return flights that was in air at the time when everything happened (i doubt there was any outbound flights on going as they would want them all to be in the UK or returning back to uk)

He would of been better staying till it went bust, 12 weeks redundancy from the government coffers, should get his pension though so long as it was with a separate company

This report makes me emotional, damn. They’ll be truly missed. Thomas Cook had definitely changed the way we travel during last decades 🙏🏼 thank you for sharing this with us !

I've just flown twice with Thomas Cook (plus 2 with Condor B757, videos on the upcoming weeks) and it makes feel really sad. Especially for all that staff of the airline that lost their jobs... they are thousands!! Plus all the staff in hotels that now are concerned about losing theirs as well... =(

Totally agree. A really sad week with Thomas Cook and Adria, but even more with TC, as it was the oldest travel agency in the whole world: 176 years!! I would say that Brexit played a huge part on this outcome: uncertainty about if the travel packages were going to be able to happen on a Brexit scenario made lots of people to not buy them till the last minute when this kind of deals makes less money to the tour-operators... Glad that you've enjoyed the video, Yannis. :)

I don't think brexit had anything to do with it, it's a cliché and everything that goes is blamed on brexit that didn't happen yet. They were in the same situation in 2011 or 2012. Nevertheless its very sad for such a massive group to go. Adria just temporarily suspended flights but who knows if they'll ever fly again

They had 500 shops and were competing with new players like Jet 2 that were only online. They lost a billion from buying My Travel. They were a money pit.

Sad to see them go was a big part of my life 😢

I live very close to Manchester airport. I looked up in the clouds as the last Thomas Cook a330 was on final. I gave it one last salute goodbye, and that was the end of Thomas Cook

I'm glad at least these folks got to go home safely.

I flew a number of times with TC between Manchester and Orlando and they were excellent flights. Really friendly & professional crew, great planes and fantastic food. So very sad for all who work for TC.

I think nobody would expect this from them. They were the oldest travel agency in the world (more than 170 years)... Una auténtica pena. Y más tratándose de un gigante como Thomas Cook que, además, era la agencia de viajes más antigua de toda Europa con 176 años de servicio. Sobrevivió incluso a 2 Guerras Mundiales, pero el Brexit, la competencia de las low-cost y la subida del precio del petróleo han podido con ella. =(

Well, even though I don't have any relative in Thomas Cook, I work in aviation besides the channel and they are my mates. I feel really sorry for all the workers that lost their jobs and this was the absolute minimum that I could do. At least the 80.000 people that have already watched this video will be aware of their situation. Glad that you've enjoyed the video, Patricia. Miss monarch loads and Thomas cook was the first flight I went on but when I went on them in may we paid for a breakfast thing and it was 6am and didn’t get it also got a three hour delay but still gonna miss the,

It is always a pleasure to read comments like this one! 😊😊 Actually, after something around 800 flights over Europe, there are many cities and villages that I can identify just by the shape 😅 For all the others, Google Earth is my tool. However, sometimes it can take a couple of hours during editing to find all the landmarks I want to show. 😊

We were lucky enough to fly with them a couple of times xx so sad that they couldn't be saved x thanks for sharing - we enjoyed watching xx

Absolutely agree. It's really sad that they are gone... Anyway, what it's for sure is that another airline (or airlines) will take their place and the offer will continue to be fine on their routes. This will be visible as soon as the bankruptcy administration will decide to sell Thomas Cook slots (especially those in Gatwick, Manchester... and other busy airports).

Hmmm, I liked Thomas Cook very much. Flow 3 times with it... Nice report of the last (UK) flight!

Mallorca a small airport? 😅 It's the 3rd in Spain and bigger than many European capital airports. 😅😅 Of course they are gonna suffer, at least in the short-term. However, im sure that other airlines will take Thomas Cook place. There was not a problem of a lack of demand, so no worries, airplanes will come back 😊👍

I think the same. I flew with TC, Jet2 and TUI during the last months for making videos for the channel, and I would say that the best part of Thomas Cook was the workers. Always with a smile and trying to help at all times. I feel really sad for them. Hope they will all find a new job in aviation soon. =(

The people working at the Thomas Cook holiday booking shops kept their jobs because Hays Travel bought all of the shops.

I have never felt so much sorrow from an airline collapsing. Monarch was my favourite.....they go bust, thomas cook was my next favourite.....they go bust. My luck is just bad. TUI are now by far my favourite airline still living, i think it was a good move them moving from Thomson to tui. Anyway Thomas Cook will always be missed, i loved my flight to Skiathos with them. if I had the money I would buy it back (in my dreams). Those poor, dedicated staff I really feel for them

This is still so hard to watch. I miss Thomas Cook so so much. No other airline was like them, their beautiful fleet of A321's were just the best aircraft. They didn't need to go out of business. At the time of closure the Airline was in profit, it was just the years of debt that killed them. So unfair. I will miss them in 2020, all I want to do is fly on the A321 with Thomas Cook, no other airline is as good :(

2:13 I went on holiday on that aircraft! From East Midlands to Zakynthos back to East Midlands, yesterday I went planespotting at East Midlands, and I saw the same aircraft again!

So sad, such a shame what happened to Thomas Cook 😭. I remember the first time I flew with them I went to salou, which was 8 years ago. I’m going to Salou again, which will be 2 weeks tomorrow and I’m going with jet2 which will be my first time flying with them! I only flew with them the once but they were such a good airline :( This was such a nice farewell to Thomas Cook.

Muchas gracias. Una auténtica pena... Se les va a echar de menos por las Canarias y las Baleares.. Incluso en este vídeo se puede ver que había unos 7-8 aviones de Thomas Cook a la vez en MAllorca.. =(

Interesting landing. I assume that the pilot was talking about Autoland when he said that the airplane would be landing itself. After the autopilot started the flare, just before touchdown, the aircraft floated as it entered the ground effect, which arrested the vertical speed of the aircraft a few feet above the ground. The autopilot responded by lowering the nose/angle of attack, which in turn made the aircraft settle on the ground firmly. Very interesting!

Muchas gracias, Alejandro. Me alegra mucho que te haya gustado tanto. Lo cierto esque Thomas Cook como tal, no volverá a volar. No al menos con ese nombre exacto. Si bien, algunas filiales como Thomas Cook Scandinavia o Condor han sobrevivido a la quiebra de la matriz, pues al ser rentables sus países les han concedido suculentos préstamos para ayudarles a pasar el temporal. Veremos si son capaces de remodelar todo y volver al Reino Unido. Desde luego, Reino Unido ( y muchos otros países en Europa) necesitan un tour operador como Thomas Cook. Saludos!

Great tribute video well done. Like so many others Thomas Cook have been a huge part of our lives as we flew to Menorca twice a year with them. Cabin Crew and Pilots where fantastic. Will be sadly missed. We were supposed to fly Monday. Gutted, but my thoughts are with the staff, please other Airlines out there give them jobs. They are all worth it.

Pues sí. Totalmente de acuerdo. Sin embargo, estoy convenido al 100% que otra aerolíneas ocuparán su sitio. Al fin y al cabo, la demanda sigue ahí, y las empresas querrán cubrirla. Saludos!

Thanks so much! Actually, since I've started to use music (just in the background, as you can see the normal sounds of the airport are there) viewers retention has increased a lot! so that's the reason why I will keep doing it, at least for some weeks to have more data. I hope that won't upset classic viewers like you! :)

I just flew twice with them (both videos on the channel already) and, although in my opinion, they were not the absolute best (probably because they were trying to reduce expenses already), I've enjoyed a lot both flights. So sad about what happened... =(

These flights are made with ex-Thomas Cook planes but operated already by new airlines that are leasing those planes, like Titan Airways. Totalmente... Miles de trabajadores que de un plumazo se van a la calle. Y todo porque hace meses, cuando se apreciaron los primeros problemas serios en la Aerolínea... se prefirió esperar a ver si se arreglaba sólo.. =(

Es una fuertisima pena que se nos vaya una aerolínea mejor que traía más turistas de todo el mundo hasta en canarias era lo más 😢😢La Palma era lo más que traían y se asociaba tanto el turismo como en los hoteles para recibirlos como nunca antes lo recibieron lo más del mundo nunca se olvidará de Thomas Cook nunca se olvidará en nuestros corazones❤😢😞❤❤

Totalmente de acuerdo. Una auténtica pena. Y no sólo para todo el empleo que generaba en los hoteles, sino los miles y miles de trabajadores directos que se quedan ahora en el calle. Ojalá encuentren todos una nueva aerolínea muy pronto y puedan volver a disfrutar de la aviación... =(

OnBoardHD - Flight Experience. Acciona A.S, quien le hacia el handling está bastante desestabilizada, también por la fusión Ryanair y Lauda. Seguramente hagan subrogaciones

Loved Thomas Cook. Such a great onboard product for the holiday and leisure market. Going to miss them a lot. Theres now a big hole in the market and choice is worse than ever.

@@aidengillag Well, even though I don't have any relative in Thomas Cook, I work in aviation besides the channel and they are my mates. I feel really sorry for all the workers that lost their jobs and this was the absolute minimum that I could do. At least the 80.000 people that have already watched this video will be aware of their situation. Glad that you've enjoyed the video, mate! Greetings from Madrid! :)

Morris’ last flight before retirement and he couldn’t do the landing !!! Tho I’m sure he’s done 10s of thousands of them!

Thomas Cook no tiene solución. Ya está en proceso de liquidación. Vender sus activos es la única forma de que algunas de sus deudas puedan pagarse. Ascendían a más de 2.000 millones de libras. Totalmente insostenible. Por su parte, Condor y Thomas Cook Scandinavia, filiales de Thomas Cook, siguen siendo rentables y no han quebrado. A esas sí que las seguiremos viendo. Al menos por ahora. =)

Absolutamente. Se sabía que las cosas no le iban muy bien, pero no que les fuesen tan mal... Tenían deudas por más de 2.000 millones de libras parece ser, algo totalmente inviable... =(

Una lástima que no fueras el jueves desde gran Canaria a Londres con tomas cook hubieras ido en un A380 que llevo a todos los afectados por thomas cook, es la primera vez en la isla que llega este avión, si hubieras ido ese día 5e hubieras llevado una sorpresa inesperada:)

Buen video amigo que lastima que ya no veremos estos aviones, esta mañana estaba cerca del aeropuerto de mallorca y e visto salir uno a las 09:40 destino Hannover (Alemania) me asombre pq pense k no estaban ya disponibles pero era el ultimo parece, que lastima despedirnos de este increíble pájaro de hierro jjj saludos :) 👋

Muchas gracias, Barbaro! Me alegra mucho que te haya gustado! Los que vuelan a Alemania están bajo la marca Condor, que era una de las filiales de Thomas Cook y NO ha quebrado. Del mismo modo, seguramente seguirás viendo aviones de Thomas Cook Scandinavia, pues tampoco a quebrado. Estas aerolíneas eran rentables, por lo que en estos casos, los gobiernos les han dado préstamos para ayudarlas a pasar el temporal y que puedan reponerse y seguir operando. Las 2 emplean a miles de personas en cada país. Normal que hayan recibidos ayudas para sobreponerse a la quiebra de la matriz. Veremos que tal siguen dentro de unos meses.... Saludos!

We gonna miss Thomas Cook, but, the main reason for me who take Thomas to get Bankrupty is his politic to use flight only in Vacation points, instead to expand, using a local flights and compete agains ULC with Cheapest prices like Ryannair and EasyJet

We'll miss it, for sure. However, in my opinion, besides any internal problems that they could have, the main problem here was the uncertainty that the Brexit caused, leading people to not buy soo many packages in the long-term. These airlines survive today thanks to the money they collect from the trips that they will make in the future if nobody is buying... this happens. There is no way for an airline like this to compete with well-designed low-costs like Ryanair or Easyjet, they just can't do it. Their structure and the perception that clients (passengers) have about them is not that, so nobody would be searching for that kind of flights with them.

@@arekj7006Or blame the people in charge who got millions in bonuses! Peter Fankhauser the CEO of Thomas Cook in the last 5 years alone took home over £8.3 million in bonuses. But yeah let's blame Jonhson, who at the time was only PM for a few months.

Emocionante al saber que sera el ultimo video con esta compañia. Para mi en lo personal también porqué trabajo en el sector del turismo en Canarias y nos afecta bastante, pero no tanto como a los grandes profesionales que hay en esta compañia.

Una desgracia absoluta... Ojalá Condor y Thomas Cook Scandinavia (que no han quebrado con Thomas Cook, por suerte) puedan poco a poco rellenar el espacio que Thomas Cook deja en Reino Unido. Aunque los slots que esta tenía en aeropuertos estratégicos como Gatwick serán imposibles de recuperar, eso está claro.
