Trip report | The Finnish Double Decker Intercity Train | IC 905 Turku - Tampere | Standard Class

Today were taking an trip onboard of VR Finnish Railways Intercity trains from Turku to Tampere in southwestern Finland! - This is one of the few Intercity services in Finland without a resturant car.
Come along for the journey and expirence what train travel is like in Finland on the trains connecting the cities.
The train in this video is an eletric Sr2 Locomotive hauling 3 of the intercity double decker wagons.
** If you notice anyone not wearing a mask in this video, please be aware that this video was shot in december 2020 where mask wearing was reccomended but not required on public transport in Finland. **

Good trip report those double decker intercity trains are ideal for when the crowds eventually come back to the trains and I like the diffrenent types of seating and also the kids area idéal for people with children to socialise and play and the hot drinks stand which is essential now in winter I sometimes forget how far north Finland is still surprising to see it pitch black darkness at 8am in the morning

These trains truely have everything and are some of the best long distance trains out here. Some very busy day trains carry 8-10 coaches of double deckers including a resturant car! Even as someone who has lived most of his life in Denmark, the dark winters too me by surprise as well!

@@Simon-Andersen those trains seem great and very reliable and yeah dark winters can be a suprise in some places only 4 or 5 hours of daylight or none at all during this time
