I find these trip reports better than other ones out there on KZread, reason is that you add little information on where planes are going and Factual information about the plane. Little things like that makes it more enjoyable in my eyes.

I recently flew on Emirates A6-EWC B777-200LR from IST to DXB. The take-off was so powerful compared to the B777-300ER! There were new seats which were super comfortable. I just loved the experience to fly onboard one of the rare aircrafts B777-200LR of EK. Fastastic trip report 🔥 Keep it up!

Barcelona is just magical. I’ll write down those bars as I’m spending another 3 days in BCN in a couple of weeks, thanks for the tip! So this video is already some months old. If I showed you the new Economy menu’s it’s just too much!! So yes, they announced billions in service investment, so I would guess that dine-on-demand in Business and other improvements are on the way.

Excellent report! I never noticed there was any differences with the wingtips between the lr and er versions. That’s so interesting!

Another excellent video TLA! I am sure that the 200lr would have been more popular if it was the same fuel capacity and range as the normal 200er. But just more efficient thanks to the wingtips and the trust would not necessarily have to be very strong. But maybe it would be a waste of time since the world was already moving and the 300er already gave the airlines what they need. Waiting for the next video!

Likely that would have helped a lot. Keep also in mind that the ULR market was quite thin, mostly from Asia-US, Middle East-US. And those flights are a bloodbath to operate if not managed well. But it will continue to be an incredible experience to fly on, I hope you get the chance soon! See you around Sergio, I’m busy uploading the next one!

Seeing those meatballs made me hungry just now! :D And to answer your question regarding the World Cup, I have chosen Dubai as my 'base of operations'; meaning I'll only fly to Qatar to attend my country's matches! I'll be there for almost 2 weeks! :D

I still think of those meat balls and hope to find them again.. And I don’t like raving about reheated economy class food, but it was really good! I wish you a happy 2 weeks here. It’s insane how there will be around 500 shuttles a day, I can’t believe that number.. But even myself I would rather stay here. It also seems to be cheaper! Have fun!

I have got to be on one in late October, but on Qatar. It was nice. Lots of room, you can do your work, and everything. Let’s just hope that beautiful beast can be more often seen in aviation.

Free jetfuel, you made my day🤣 If they figured out how to make that possible soon there would be war for lentils. Emirates in my home-turf airline, I fly them incredibly much as it’s the easiest (and most comfortable way) to get to places. I’ll miss them once I return to Europe.. From Tel Aviv I’ve flown with quite a few carriers. I tend to lose flights all the time due to delays at security so it’s ever changing for me. Usually Turkish Airlines has good fares, but I’ve also flown flydubai, Gulf Air, El Al, Emirates and KLM so far. See you around my friend!

Thank you! Yes, the import is allowed. It’s even sold here and many supermarkets. But it’s fresher, cheaper and better quality when I bring it myself😎

5:07 you mentioned that adding the extra fuel tank on 777 200lr wasn't efficient compared to the 787 and a350 (which doesn't have them except A350 900ULR)... Now my question is does that necessarily mean the A350 900ULR and the upcoming ultra long range variant of A350 1000 (for Qantas in its project sunrise routes) is also less efficient since they have an extra fuel tank?

I am flying on this flight again in 3 weeks and then again a month later. Always great to get on a 77L! Not too many chances to fly them anywhere else and as you say….the power to weight ratio is noticeably higher than a lot of aircraft.

Well done! I’m flying it at the end of December again. I would say it’s the route I fly the most yet I only published it twice here 😂 I love the 77L and will try to fly it as much as I can before they’re gone. And I think they’ll be gone by next year as they’re likely the first to be replaced by the A350 😞 Have a nice flight!

@@TheLayoverAviation yes I tend to fly it a lot as I go to South Africa quite a lot and EK256 gets to DXB in good time to take the early morning rush hour departures down to SA. Bizarrely I have never flown on an A350 although I tend to only ever fly EK long haul so I guess I will no doubt fly on one soon enough with all the A359’s they have on order. Will be a shame to say goodbye to the 77L though. Anyway, will keep an eye out for you and perhaps have a pre-flight cerveza! All the best mate 👍

I have one question and one comment: Question: In the stuff "to be smuggled", I can get most, but why the dry pasta packets and garlic? Does it make significant difference in finished meals? Comment: I saw this Italian pasta (in your main course) for the first time and it looks EXACTLY like something which was made in India until a few decades ago, the last I saw was in my childhood made by my grandmother and recently saw in a youtube video where a very old woman was shown making these. It is made from wheat flour but made into a dessert (either boiled and sweetened or simmered in milk which is evaporated and thickened and then sweetened). The generic Indian name is "sevaiyan" but for the current generation, they look like vermicelli, but traditionally they were handmade and looked exactly liked the Italian pasta shown. Small bits of dough were rolled with hands and one end was made thin and pointy. Amazing to see something exactly similar in Italian cuisine. Another dying proof of how connected we all were even in the remote past

So the garlic is because I love cooking and Spanish garlic is incredible. Most of the garlic around is from China and I can taste the difference straight away. The pasta as well, and I just associate it with childhood memories. My son likes it better too. And it’s cheaper then in Dubai! All items have a reason. I always grocery shop abroad. Thanks for sharing the story on the pasta, I’ll have a look online! We are all connected indeed. I love to investigate food background!

Yes, Canada has some strict rules on the importation of products. I was this week in Amsterdam and got myself a whole stash of stuff from Albert Heijn, ranging from cheese, crisps, all sorts of cold cuts to peanut butter and hagelslag 😁 See you around Melissa!

Sometimes I do. But I fly so much that I don’t like spending any extra time at airports.. So I try to arrive to the airport with the bare minimum time so I can just board and leave.

I believe in the upcoming years when these 777s are retired, they might possibly sign up order of A350-900ULRS to replace these by 2030.

So I believe A380 are used for high density cities, while 777-300ER are used for medium density cities or simply those cannot afford to accommodate an A380 on their terminal. 777-200LR on the other hand are used for shorter distances to India as well???? The model is a very very old plane btw. You can correct me if I am wrong.

The B777-300ER also has much more cargo capacity so it also flies where more revenue can be made with that. The B777-200LR is perfect for otherwise weight restricted destinations, like Mexico, Dallas and Houston. Houston will however return to A380 soon. And yes, it’s “old” for the EK fleet, but a plane from 2007 is not really old at all!

Just my two cents, but people forget what these FA have done on 9/11 when they were relaying information to ATC at the airport when the FBI, CIA, NSA, DOT, and the US Marshals were listening in from the other end of the damn line when this horror show massacre took place before they were all incinerated to death in a ball of fire. So all in all, IMO they are the primary law enforcement, police officers/security guard of the air section on the plane of the Emirates Security Group. Ground staff have their own police force working alongside with them. Ever seen the Jerry Springer Show? Now imagine what they have to do on the show now at 35,000 Ft up in the air as inflight security guards working for Steve Wilkos.

Remember the crew are very very hangry looking at your food. You should have offer them some. These kids haven't had much to eat on a long haul flight other than working their asses off.

What a nice compliment, it would be nice getting even close to Sam Chui. I’ve actually had the chance to meet him a couple of times as he lived around here in Dubai. If this channel grows a lot I actually have great plans on what to film. But yes, that would take a good million subscribers to even make it possible😅

They should have refurbished the economy section with its poor pissed outdated analog TV screens. Yuck!!! And how come B777-200LR is more costly to operate despite been more fuel efficient than the older A340-500???

So to remodel the Business Class of the 10 -200LR’s was over $100 million, if Economy were included it would be crazy much expensive. The system is still great, so I kind of understand why not extra was spend on that..

@@TheLayoverAviation Is Vanessa Hispanic? Her skin color looks a bit dark to begin with. There are hispanic people of European origin that have whiter skin. I could be wrong though. The one person I can come up with is Pati Jinich, a female Jewish chef from Mexico on PBS. Are there any names in Spain that begin with Vanessa and followed by some crazy last name that she may have?
