That interior looks so nice. I’ve not yet been on any 787, much less ANA’s, but I really like the mood lighting. It recalls my flights on Virgin America.

2:38 The boarding music is "Another Sky" by Taro Hakase, it's the theme song of ANA and Air China (2016-2018), the music has a sense of the hope for brighter futures and honor, I am currently a senior in High School and I'll be graduating in 3 weeks. Me and my leadership friends at school were currently working on a Class of 2023 Recap Video to show all the highlights we have made throughout the last 4 years, and the music for our video will be Another Sky!

Nice review of ANA, an airline that I have always wanted to try. Looking forward to more of your videos!

That report was awesome! I enjoyed watching this though you didn’t select a window seat which IMO shows how good the product is. I wonder why you didn’t like the Okonomiyaki that much though lol! Nice video! Love the cameo by PAL towards the end too!

Yeah we wanted to try the middle ones to see how it compared! The okonomiyaki was a bit bland, and compared to the okonomiyaki I had in Osaka, it could not compete ;) thanks for watching!

Excellent trip report! The meals were delicious, it's good that you chose the Japanese course. Their service was amazing as always

Great report, really enjoyed it! ANA have a great seat om their 787s :) the service all looks good. Seems a bit weird that there was no breakfast before arrival.. or did i miss something? Thanks again Brendan

Yeah I thought it was weird too, but apparently we were supposed to have stuff from the "Light Dishes Anytime" menu.

I wish all my ANA flights are 24 hours long.

I have flown this route many times and can assure you if taking off from 16 R which i believe you did, ther plan is direct to SYD at 163 degrees all the way and a short diversion near Guam is common, so basically a straight line and rather boring for tech crew but amazing progress in flight planning. I see the service has improved as for a long time it was a light supper in both directions and lack of choice in a hurried pre landing service into SYD but for 5 k aud return to Europe, amazing airline and safety concious. Also they fleww 788 daily into DLC from NRT ( 3/hrs 20min) which I regularly connected to from HDA by bus . Always empty in J. Best ground service at all their airports even MEX. Best wishes ps Boeing were pleased NH was the launch carrier for 788/789 as they are very "picky" over safety matters and worked well with Boeing on this new, at the time aircraft. I flew on the first 788 domestic service to Matsuyama. Both Captains had 30 hours time on 788s.

Great review! Any thoughts on some of the intangible benefits of the 787 such as cabin noise, humidity, etc. compared to the 777?

+Philip Wu the 787 is definitely more comfortable than the 777. Cabin is much quieter, and humidity levels is not as dry as the 777. The 787 is also newer so the environment and condition of the plane also feels nicer. Having said that, I personally love the roar of the engines on the 777, and it's raw power! :)

Never flown with ANA but ANA crew are the word eaters compare to their collegues from ACA and UAL. ACA is my flag carrier who will be doing YUL-NRT from the first off june.

Word eaters are the people who are speaking badly. The ANA crew are eating the english words and not Japanese words.

Very unusual to land on 34R , maybe traffic and a sharp right turn down the coast otherwise lng turn north of Wollongong to 34 L and saves time.

We did get expedited clearance, but we didn't need to use it as the regular line was pretty short

How did you transfer from Narita to Haneda?

We took the Airport Limousine Bus, which provides a regular transfer service between NRT and HND: www.limousinebus.co.jp/en/bus_services/haneda/narita.html

Very comfortable bus and professional and friendly staff. The journey was around 70 minutes.

You are lucky since it is B787-9, not -8.

Yeah! We were on a B787-8 on our way back to Vancouver.

Sorry 16 L I believe.
